Not bothered about expensive watches but that really is a thing of beauty!

It looks fabulous in real life. And it is eye wateringly expensive

Yes - the watch is a Locman Marina Militaire Teseo Tesei Limited Edition.

It is a MASSIVE watch - makes my Breitling seem like a tiny bauble since I have been wearing the Locman.

Teseo Tesei was an Italian Naval Officer who invented and later died piloting manned torpedoes. There is also a legend that he was responsible for sinking a ship and then actively rescuing all the crew. That is supposedly what the watch is celebrating. No idea if it true.

Teseo Tesei

DYK.

Tritium filled gas tubes, cant beat them for night vision.

I like that, infact Im off to have a proper look.

BigSinky, most of the watches you have mentioned I dont know enough about them to make a recomendation.
But I have something in the pipeline that may interest you, if it happens I will PM you the details, you can test drive it, then see what you think.

You have gone to great lengths to tell us what this watch is......but you have left out what model it is, is it a MARE ?

The reason I ask is that I want to see one, the one you have, if you can find the exact one can you post the link, is it an Auto or a Quartz chronograph ?

Cheers.

Your right Nat, I like this one with the StSt bracelet, it ticks 7 out of 10 boxes.

Its a big watch at 52mm. 4.5mm bigger than my Bentley, surely not ?

£1700 to my door, is reasonable too.

Thanks to Nat21, Yoza and BigSinky.

The one I have got is very well made indeed and has all the normal markings that I can find out about, including a Rolex crown logo in the christal which you can just about make out with a magnifying glass about where the 6 would be on the dial. The strap looks correct with the Rolex locking device. It is stainless steel with the white face.

The bloke who sold it to me for a very cheap price said he thought it was a fake, but he knows about as much about watches as I do

Fake or not, it feels and looks like a very high quality watch so at least it cost only peanuts compared with the real thing, or even the price of a top quality fake by the looks of it.

Les
