Thanks Phil
Question - MD555 I thought this superceded the 321 range ? Also thought it was a single scroll unit ?
But going to twin-scroll - new up-pipe needed, or new headers, or 'much more' ?
Cheers A

I got the car from A690 Cars (formerly GMD) and they assured me that filter and exhaust change would not present an issue at warranty time if some major mechanical failure happened.
As my car is having all it's bits fitted I'm having Andy (my mechanic) do a compression and lambda test to see how fit he thinks the engine is (I've driven it since the magnaflow and k&n were fitted and it felt much smoother - but the standard exhaust is very restrictive).
As for MD555/321 - the 555 is marketed by Turbo Dynamics where as the 321 is sold by Lateral Performance (not sure what the similarities are). My wife's RB5 has had both a T and now 321V and they (esp. the V) are staggering for response and power/torque.
No idea what's involved in fitting a twin-scroll as the 321V meets all Mrs D's response and power needs

MD321 superceded the 555 - that essentially is (or was) an old 321S I think.
The MD321 range from Lateral are proven and perform on a huge variety of different cars.
Have yet to see a MD555 do what it says on the tin tbh.
Fitting a twin scroll requires, turbo, up-pipe, headers and downpipe changes - not worth it when the 321V / T or T+ does the same power. The V is the biggest and that does 2 bar of boost at 3000 rpm - do you need boost earlier than that ?

Anyone fitted the Prodrive mudflaps from Revolution?
Mine arrived the other day but the fitting instructions are for a 03 car. Have they sent me the wrong ones or do they fit the 2008+ STi too?

Wasnt impressed by that, and couldnt be arsed with the hassle of sending them back, so will slap 'em on this weekend when i have a moment. Fortunately i have some better fixings then just self tappers.

OK I intended not doing any mods to my car as I can't really afford to, but the lack of noise etc is really bugging me, whats my chances of getting induction kit, exhaust (cat back), and remap for £1k?

Had exatcly the same problem myself, as i thought i had bought 2 sets of flaps for the hatch (knew they were two sets of fronts). Rang up to ask if i had been sent the right ones and was told they still fit, i just need some black self tapping screws!

What other fixings are you using?

That surprises me Rob. I spoke with Prodrive before fitting PPP and they advised that the PPP map had all sorts of protection that the OE map didn't have. Nearly everything i have read seems to suggest the problem was OE based
I will try and get this clarified

Not cheap. but I got the OEM Subaru Sti flaps fitted to mine. They are very rigid and formed to to fit the contours of the wheel arch. Boring in black? possibly, but they have got the job done, and add a little extra menace to my metallic grey car.

Thanks for the advice / experience guys
And... for others - some 330S (prodrive map cars) 'have' gone bang.
I was told that super aggressive ignition mapping to help the emmissions is the no.1 problem, then that mated to the 'newer piston design' and its a poorly risen yorkshire pudding.

Just got the car back from Slowboy racing last night, ferodo pads and goodridge braided hoses Hopefull the snow will hold off for my mission to peak district this weekend. Can anyone recommend any great roads up there?
Quick update on post ARB squeaks, Neil chased it down to the bump stops on the boot lid rubbing. The increased stiffness from the ARB's is resulting in the body and boot flexing by different amounts. Lithium grease seems to have sorted it for now
Now if I could just figure out what was making my driver's seat squeak I'll be able to hear the voices inside my head again.

I have the same one but I like the standard Sti more, it looks more aggressive and the ugly plastic bar behind the logo isn't that visible with the sti one.

Remember the days when they topped the J.D Power surveys .
Silence is not the best policy with this one

Well, the hatch is back and considerably enhanced -
Better pics to follow, but list as follows -
Recaro CS front seats
Eibachs springs, Whiteline ARBs, rear subframe bushes, front lower brace
Zunsport black grill set
STi copy lip
Magnaflow exhaust, K&N filter
I'm having the geometry done on saturday to complete the transformation but it's already completely transformed - lovin' it!
Andy (my mechanic) also gave my engine the once over and gave it a clean bill of health
