i had a grimmspeed fitted to mine last year and everything is as clean as a whistle when I have a check over. They aren’t suitable for tracking but I don’t track mine anyway.

yeah mine wont see a track either. Any ideas how to "check over" ? Other than dip oil regular and visually check under cap ?

i sometimes take my top mount off and check to see if theirs any oil residue around the hoses or underneath the oil cap. that’s always a good tell tale sign to whether it’s working as it should mate.
is that through dashcommand Charly. I’ve got an iPhone and I’m looking for a suitable elm for mine.
no mate. Its a wee av adapter to get phone to work through RCA plugs in centre console. Then phone has Torque Pro app (and usual phone apps) , via a bluetooth OBD2 dongle in the diagnostic port.
On Android. I vaguely remember at the time reading it was harder to get ios to play through the RCA. I'll look it up.

cheers buddy!. I’ve got an Apple lead that I can use to bring up dash command but I’m looking for a suitable obd that I can use to plug into my ecu.
Cheers Charley. I should have said the video screen mod has been done.
Phone is OnePlus 6, has a USB-C connection and an adaptor to use USB-C to USB or HDMI ( OTG ). ALthough the internet seems to say the OnePlus does not support wired video via MHL !!
I do have an older android HTC One which seems to be MHL, need to check. got an adaptor for that on the way!
Actually have an hdmi to av unit spare too ... and found my kiwi PLX ( wifi OBD2 ) sender and ordered a cheap ELM / bluetooth OBD sender too.
Bought the Torque Pro app.
Just have to try and see I guess!

I've tried my current phone (s7) and it doesn't work. I've a feeling the one i have connected is an old s5 (not an S2 as stated) Not sure what I'll do if the phone ever dies. I also remember at the time i knew of a lead that just did direct from phone to RCA but I've looked into it today and all avenues seem to be "out of stock" or "no longer available". Maybe its old tech now.
Yeah, found same, even one of your links was not in stock. I'll try Oneplus 6 and the old HTC One+ and see .... shame, nice to have gauges on the head unit!
Cheers
It runs on Subarus own protocol SSM - you can download the app and connect by a cable - or buy his own produced BT dongle for about £75 - works really well
Finally cleaned the STi today after collecting dust for months in the garage.
I cannot wait to drive it!
Edit: for some reason I am unable to upload attachments.
