Cool Third post and BIG THANK YOU

So swapped out the lump from my hatch into a new 2016 Sti...

Made possible by Scoobynet legend Rob Ostle aka Rob84

Biggest thanks ever to Rob

It'll be a dream come true - they finish with it next week and then it's transported from Carlisle to Plympton / Enginetuner for sticking the map back on and finishing off...

It's gonna be incredible

Cool Single exit custom system - hand made.

With my new car coming soon. I'll have an unwanted 3" Hayward & Scott centre section (with custom skidded silencer) and single exit Jap style slash cut rear box. This was fitted to my 2.35 with unequal length headers and was the best sounding exhaust ever !

Having previously had the central rear box silencer with four outlets in various forms (still have a Cobrasport version spare) - I realise they disperse the sound - not just silence, destroying the scooby burble. This single exit system not only flows much better but sounds awesome too. Lol.

It'll be in the for sale section soon guys

No problem at all, Seen as though no-one else was interested I'm always up for a challenge.

Unfortunately your visit landed bang on with my week off. However I'm back this week. I left a sheet of orders to carry out in my absence which I'm confident will have been fulfilled as I'd allocated plenty of time to get the job done right to a high standard.

Default Tyres???

Hi All,

I've left the car for a while and not driven it and noticed the Potenza RE070's have started to crack.

I've tried to do quite a bit of research and noticed that the S206 and S207 are coming with the Michelin Super Sports and my brain is telling me to go that way as the RE070's are no longer made.

Second choice would be the Pilot Sport 3's..

Or NS2R's

Or..... Please point me in the right direction. I'm thinking my wheels are the same size as most using 245/45/18 tyre?

The problem is I'm getting quoted stupid prices on Camskill, Oponeo etc - Roughly£135 per tyre for Supersports.

Not looking to open another massive tyre debate. Just some quick and simple advise on experience. Thanks in advance.

Michelin Pilot sport 3's get my vote.
Have you tried Pneus tyres online.

What did you call me

I haven't but will now. I had them on my classic and absolutely loved them. They're currently my second choice if I can't find the super sports for a good price.

Thanks

Hi Mark,
The PS3 was a revision to the PS2, whilst the SS was totally new, and more track orientated than the PS3; the SS also out performs the PS3 in most areas; google PS3 vs Supersport and you will see various threads on other performance forums. I am leaning towards SS, or maybe winters and something slicker for summer.
Off subject, if you are under your spec C , can you photo your front droplinks and arb for me, or tell me the arb thickness ? Cheers.
Going to Peter Cambridge, ex Prodrive, for geo this Friday. Hope you are well, regards, Caleb

Your Front ARB diameter will be 20 or 21mm depending upon how it was originally specced..................

Front droplinks are standard 20470SA001 items

Hedgecutter.

I've tried taking photos for you but can't get a good shot but I remember they are very small.

Got one of the rear quite easily. Couldn't find my calipers either, sorry.

Thanks Mark and Don; my arbs are not standard, so I will measure them on Friday.
Is it normal for the fuel pump to buzz louder on acceleration , as if it has two stages?
Cheers

Yes they have the same basic setup and layout but with different rated struts etc.

Whiteline site is best viewed on a computer since its revamp

Can't say for sure but I would expect them to fit without spacers. I have the 6 pot 355mm AP's under the 18" Prodrive GT1 wheel (this wheel was designed for the hatch with the same width and offset as the original 330's wheels).

Got my rear fog fitted today. Also fitted chrome indicator bulbs and red fog bulb (cheers Salsa King) . I'm actually liking the all clear look so don't know if I'll fit my red overlays now ! Can't get them fitted till next weekend anyway so will have a think.
