May be worth contacting Iain Litchfield regarding the splitter, we bought a genuine STI splitter from him when we bought the car certainly wasn't the price the dealers are quoting
Have the handling kit fitted to ours without springs or AST's, feels a lot better on the road, well worth the money

Renny, Have a search on ebay for a lip spoiler they are roughly £130 with postage and they are the urathane flexi ones.
rear fog light is easy enough to remove 2 nuts on the edge of the tailgate, one is hidden under the rear plastic cowling pull the cowling down to gain access to the 3rd nut and it will just pull out

Snow driving
So, Like the muppet I am I jumped in the car today and thought "woohoo, 4 wheel drive - should be fine"
Crawled down the road with the diff on auto turned left and was suprised to find I was still going straight on! A quick decision to (ahem) park the car into a kerb to avoid a low speed slide into a parked Passat.
It was then that I remembered reading somewhere that Yoko S drives are not the best winter tyre in the world, particularly when they are part worn!
A very gentle and smooth journey to work then followed with the SI-Drive in I and the diff still in Auto and traction on.
When I got into car park (very snowy) I locked the diff and had terminal understeer at walking speed. ABS kept activating which increased my stopping distances somewhat
What set up do you guys use in snow?
Have to say, my old Cooper S was a more sure footed steer in snow than the drive I had in today.

S#, diff set to stun (manual) with just one bar showing, and skid control set to off. Great fun if nothing about ! Only about 3-4" here but still managed to scoop up a load in the lower intake.

Mark said that he'd not fitted one before he supplied mine and asked me to comment. Now I'm happy to bolt up metalwork but bits of bodywork that flex make me nervous, especially when it involves drilling. I bolted up the centre and then the ends but that pulled the middle out
. I spoke to Mark and said I could bring it over, which I did. Mark had a look pulled it into place and bolted it up no problem.

Not sure what to do tbh - assuming I get the car I'm going to look at - I was going to maybe get a Revolution or HT Autos splitter and give it to the Subaru dealer to fit before collection.
Don't want to get one and them do a dodgy job and blaming it on it not being a geniune item!

After todays drive, I'm going winter tyres. Yoko A10's are not good in the snow, but better than I expected.
That means I can have 18"s in athracite next year or summer rims
and keep the 17's for winters.
Oh and TDi's are a bitch to keep off the turbo!!!

Unfortunatley I am having to store some stuff in the garage from my business. It has no monetary value but can't be left in a storage container.
The refurbishment of the first floor of my business will be complete early January then the scooby can be kept safe and warm.
The alarm keep going of at 4 in the morning when the temp drops really low and I get a wee text to wake me up. Then I can't help myself.I have to go out and check it.
The snow depth is now over 6 inches and the splitter is acting like a snow plough.

Rob thats a bit concerning as looking at your Facebook pics theres only 2 " of snow at yours 
We had another 5 - 6 " in an hour last night
The Hatchback is definetly the best Scoob in the Snow when compared to the last 3 we ve had !!!
