Having gone down the FMIC previously on a Blobeye Spec C it was something I was keen to avoid.
The car will be mapped down at Enginetuner in the near future, once the forged engine build has been run in and I will happily post up the dyno plots plus engine bay temp readings as well.

Yes it will still be subject to heat soak which badly effects the cheap TMIC's like the factory items, which are designed to a budget rather than to perform as well as possible.
Having spoken to AH Fabrications and knowing some of their client base which includes doing bespoke work for WRC, Touring Car, F1 and other high end motorsport teams I have every confidence in their work.
The price of just the core by itself without the fabrication work etc is already well in excess of the price of the factory fitted Subaru item, the only other item which it can be compared to is the TMIC which Chevron Motorsport sell which is around £2000.

Was considering a Chevron motorsport TMIC how do these compare to it, I am assuming it's the same intercooler and it's made by these guys Is the core from Marstons engineering in Wolverhampton?

No problem.
I didn't ask about where the core came from so I can't help you out there.
As for the price you'll have to speak to them on that, I'm having mine at a very good price due to it being carried out via a friend so it's less than Joe public would pay.

Might be from Radtec in Cannock thats close to Wolverhampton!!

Radtec also do custom work if needed, I know people who have gone there with cardboard templates for them to make a cooler and pipework.

Does anybody have a copy of the wiring diagram that covers the boot on an 08 hatch? It wouldn't unlock but when it did it wouldn't lock. I managed to get it shut and took it to a local auto-electrician. He's said all the connections from the body to the hatch are fine but needs a diagram to help check out the switch and the latch. I did have a copy of the hatch manual from RB5 but it's stored on my e:drive and that's crashed.
Thanks,
Paul.

Many thanks Don, I'll print them out and drop them off with the electrician.
Sorry Don but the RB5 I referred to is RB5 286, a member on here and the Hatch forum who for a donation to the RB320 owners club provided the service manual for the hatch a few years ago.
Thanks,
Paul.

A bit of an impossible ask, but if anyone knows for the interior from a 330S or even just the Recaro seats then please let me know.

Good taste in cars too! I too came from a 350z, the cars are like chalk and cheese in so many ways but I still love both equally!
Enjoy

At the end of the day if it's running ok, just keep check on the oil level etc, let the car warm up and cool down properly and maybe keep off the red line. You could also consider compression/ leak down test for some piece of mind but you will never know. Just enjoy driving it and try and forget about it. If it still bothers you and you can afford it then get forged pistons dropped in

haha yep, I've started to forget just how a little tickle of the right foot made the back end step out on the zed, I do miss that, plus the low down torque and the weightier steering. But then the grip/sound and the way the scoob moves on boost makes up for it It's nice to have a change

You should take what you read on here with a pinch of salt to be honest, its done 70K enough said, i wouldn't be worried at all. Keep it well serviced and regularly check the oil, thats all you need to do.

Second re-map with Bob yesterday, the injectors hit 112% so he backed it off its now running 405bhp with similar torque, the turbo has more to give, if I upped the injectors. But I happy with that, I am now on a lit fuse until the gearbox gives up Bob reckons I will be surprised how tough they are but we will see I suppose.
Also still on the standard clutch at 51000 miles!!!!!! no funny smells or anything yet.
