It sure does!
I actually used a medium flat head screwdriver and scratched it all off, then 600 grade sandpaper wet to bring the metal back nice and shiney and remove the little scratches. Doused them in Autosmart Tardis too, did jack *** *ha! Just need to use metal polish to finish it off next. Probably still took 20 mins per tip to complete.

Yep, I found the flat head did the bulk of the work, also found many of the bits that chipped off tended to fly up towards my eyes!
Wire wool did a good job too for the lip using the flat head to run it round.

I might go onto the engine bay again, this transport wax everywhere will not beat me after doing those tips.

Anyone with ast's on thier hatch. Have a set on my saloon and wanted to play with the settings. The front adjusters are fine it's the rear. I can't find the gold adjusting dial anywhere. I know on my 05 type 25 they were on the top of the strut by the back window but there's nothing there on the saloon! Did AST make a non adjustable rear damper
Any help appreciated

I'm afraid that you cannot get the black piece separate Phil. It would have to be a complete surround assay. But they are crazy money £90 a side

Evening fellas, just about to pick up MY08 STI Hatch but have a few questions. It's got a FSH with the last being 46k, now on 55k. I realise it will need a cambelt at 60k but for now I've booked it in for a oil service and compression test for peace of mind. It's totally OEM, and will only ever see cosmetic mods really (the missus's car) so a nice set of Rota grids, lowering springs and JDM rear lights. Is there anything else I should have checked whilst its on the ramp? I've already told the garage it's a new buy so I suspect they will give it a good once over anyway.

Cool, not a million miles away. Really need to try and get down to another Surrey meet.
James I would think the PPP backbox wouldn't but removing the middle pipe cat would?

What i'm saying I know is not gospel, but i'd be sceptical about maming any core changes to stuff related to the engine just incase the worst happens. I know im not till the blocks been forged.
