They look so much better how's the braking? I know you've got to bed them in but must see an improvement.

You need front and rear Brembos the rear ones must be 2008 onwards as they are a different offset! try and get them complete with hoses (your rear hoses won't fit!) i bought aftermarket ones, you will need all the brake pad shims pins etc. You will also need the 2 fixing bolts per caliper as your caliper bolts have a different thread! (STI are metric fine)

For front discs you need pre 2004 STI front discs ( 5x100 )
For rear discs you need 2008 onwards redrilled to ( 5x100 )
I got mine from godspeed as a package, discs, pads and he redrilled them for me.

Thanks Ian @ Godspeed

Front calipers and discs bolt straight on.
The rear discs require removing the metal dust guards then everything fits perfect.

All done 6hrs later

Hi chaps

Needed to find a thread that is directed at the hatch.

I'm looking at getting either the RB320 or the 330s hatch.

What's the pro's and cons over the 330's ?

What do they remap to ?

Am I right in reading that the 330s doesn't have the engine failure of the STI due to been remapped out the box by prodrive ?

Just some general advice and thoughts would be good from the horses mouths so to speak ?

Cheers lads

Across the board the 2.5 has 'issues'.

a re map refresh should have been done years ago now on a 330s.

you need to remember no to run on anything less than V-Power or Tesco Momentum.
don't mod the car without a remap (even sticking air filte and zorts on can effect the car) these are not like scoobs of years past where you stick a zorst on and air filter to gain 20-30bhp.

Run on the correct oil.
don't rag it about redlining every time you go out lol

Not all cars have issues, but buying 2nd hand you don't know previous history.

My car is fine (famous last words lol) a friend has his STi Hatch running over 370bhp/390lbt and isn't forged.. just light mods and re map.

Getting it forged and 'tuned' gives piece of mind.. allow about £3-4k for that depending what you wantto do to the car.

have you seen any 330s you want to look at?

Thanks for your reply

I'm not into blasting about all over the place anymore I've been there and done that in the one I currently have. Unfortunately I've grown up a tiny little bit lol and only do it now and again these days lol.

I've always been one to look after my cars and service them with out regard of costs at at scoob specialist near me using Millars oils ever 3k, only use vp or momentum.

Been looking for the "one" for some time but not yet found it yet......

Ideal, black v low mileage, spotlights (don't get them on many I've noticed) service history and all the usual extra's.

don't worry about colour..... buy the colour you don't want at the right price and get it professionally wrapped.. to a colour you'd really like

I'd do that next time.

Handbook says 5W-30. I have been told by many that is too thin. API recommend 10w-50. I am due my first oil change in my ownership hence I was asking what you guys use?

What front mount did you go for? Hybrid or something else? I'm undecided about the benifit because the top mounts are bigger than classics anyway?looking good though are you going for a front splitter? I recon a carbon splitter will look lovely

The standard top mount is gash! and it bolts (directly) on to the turbo so it won't fit any other turbo upgrade like the one i have bought.
If you're planning over 400bhp then splash out the overpriced perrin or ridiculously priced Cosworth. If your planning 400 or below then the Japspeed one should be fine! which i have.

(Somebody correct me if im wrong)

Yea there 18s I'll have to check that. I'd love a front mount but would only do it if I got to get a forged engine rebuild otherwise spending money for spending sake. I'm still questioning swapping the wrx in for 330s I've really fallen for them

Do it you will never get a WRX up to STI standard!
You are better off starting with the STI at least you have all the expensive stuff as standard such as 6 speed box better brakes etc.

The hole reason I bought the wrx was because no one else had one and I wanted to be diffrent and I do love the wrx but just thinking the 330s is pretty much perfect with everything I want only problem is the price tag but by the time I've modded this I could get a an Sti then abit more and then 330s

Cant really comment on that Item but, had a few things from a company with the same name many many years ago Gtir days and they where S**t, poor welds, did,t look like they would fit when offered up, so resold them,
But as said that was a few years ago, But that,s just my personal opinion

And it looks like someone has brought one so maybe have some feed back, and they are cheap
