08/09 Hatches, Stand up and show yourselves!!!
Ok thanks for the advice Paul. Which exact model of vreds are you using?
I'm running 265/35 Vreds on 330s alloys, didn't notice much change to the ride quality. Should not increase the arch gap as 265/35/18 has the same rolling radius as my original 235/45/17 but is slightly smaller than the 245/40/18 originally on the 330s wheels.
Tyre brands vary in their stated width compared to their actual width, just a case of finding what you like.
Paul.

Hi
Bit of a long shot but does anybody know anything about my Subaru Impreza Wrx Hatchback
The reg number is BN08 ZHK and its blue in colour
I posted last week in the general section and was told to try this post.
I bought the car about 6 months ago after crashing my hawkeye and I am just trying to find out a bit about its history and seem to be struggling.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks Aaron

Thought i would give an update as i have made some more changes to the car and its coming along now
My rally Armor mud flaps are now here and i fitted them this weekend in no time, as well as the ZunSport scoop grille and gloss black vinyl wrapped mirrors and spoiler.
Here are some pics as the car stands at the moment:
As i said the cars getting there now, i will leave the other mods as a supprise
but the exterior should be finished within a few months and i can then move to performance upgrades

where's the best / cheapest place for these rally armour mudflaps? What did they cost you if you don't mind me asking?
just buy some of these.. £65, if you want the Kaylan ones at £130 get those.

I've done a fitting guide too.. search for it
my friend TedEd bought some RallyTech ones.. cost him £130 shipped.. then two weeks later he got a £25 bill from customs to pay!!
I said he'd of been better to by the kaylan flaps at £130... job done!

Haha yeh extreme mods extreme car lol the oil catch can is joined to coolent tank to heat catch to prevent sludge returning to sump it's just a proto at the mo
It's an all singing all dancing 2.35 with a gt35 so it's a bit of a monster hatch lol
Check the rad/oil cooler that is proper trick :-)
Yep, trick indeed.
Seen a couple of the rad / oil coller installs ( Chevron of Staffordshires ?? ) - very nice indeed.
Mind the hose routing ... fire otherwise!
How's the GT35 .. need launch control to get moving or does it go OK as is?
Guess you're running around 600 bhp/lb ft?

i actually bought them from the rally armor website they worked out at around £150 in the end with postage so not cheap. But they are great, really pleased with them. I was also hit with import tax when i received them tho which i was not told about before hand which was £36 so they ended up being £186
Thanks mate

hmmmm... £65 or £189.
I'm happy with my £65 ones.
Our mudflaps are not 130 pounds shipped. They are $160 US shipped. If your friends order total was 130 pounds then I'm pretty sure he bought additional items also.
$160 is 103 pounds. Even if you get charged customs fees of 25 pounds like your friend did that still makes our flaps 128 pounds, the kaylan ones you mention are 130 so our flaps still work out to be cheaper.
Not only are ours cheaper, they are a superior product - fact.
- 4mm minimum thickness motorsport compliant (you can't use 3mm any more)
- Twin mounting holes that allow you to lower or raise the flap 30mm.
- CNC cut flaps for a perfectly smooth edge, not rough like the pressed flaps.
- 1.5mm waterjet cut aluminum brackets, powdercoated as standard (instead of the cheaper, thinner stainless steel ones that come with razor sharp edges!)
- Full stainless steel mounting hardware
- Express shipping included in the cost meaning you will probably get our flaps faster than you would ordering them from the UK.
