Subaru once again rip the ***** right out of the price of that, at something silly like £500 notes.

I have bought a few recommended parts that cost about £10 to try the mic myself.

Might get the iPod connectivity, reverse camera and maybe sub bits all together to do it all with the dash apart once.

Thanks for the heads up on the DIY mic, will let you know how I get on.

The Genuine reversing camera is an Alpine unit as I had one fitted to my 330S, I also had the bluetooth mic fitted as part of the deal when I brought the car. I also brought the Subaru I pod lead but when the dealer removed the head unit to fit the camera they found that there was no plug in the back of the unit for an I pod connection.

Looking at the fitting guides from Subaru, it connects to the rear of the unit to one of the multi plug locations

Bluetooth and camera plug straight into the back of the unit, but both the dealer and myself spoke to IM and they had to admit that the 330S headunit does not allow and I pod to be connected and they gave me a refund for the lead. I connect my I phone through the 3 plugs in the centre armrest but rthis does not allow you to control it from the headunit or steering wheel.

do you need a blue tooth connect for you phone in your car

does it justify £130 worth of use.. how many calls do you make/get in your car?

No one rings me.. if they do they can leave answer phone message if its that important.

lol

I've just bought a pioneer sat nav head unit from a member on here. It needs add on parts for bluetooth and ipod as it's not a very up to date model. But at £70 for the bluetooth adapter and about the same again for the ipod connection I'm attempting to justify the cost too

A 5 year old Ford Focus could still be spec'd with USB+AUX+Bluetooth+DAB+Auto wipers/h.lights+powerfold mirrors though...

Its the link on how to make a bluetooth mic

Ipod - it can't be controlled from the 330S screen anyway.
All you can do is connect it up via the 3 jacks in the armrest as far as I'm aware

Power mirrors - you have those on the 330S.
h.lights?
Do you mean hid?

The JDM accessory kit for autolights and semi-auto wipers is pretty good.

Yes sorry well guessed Don. The mirrors require a button press, dont auto fold when locked etc. My '06 FIESTA did that

AVi cables for iPod is so 2000

Anyway, so Don you are saying if I fitted the Ipod intergration kit to my nav unit, it wouldn't work anyway, I need s.wheel controls?

Do you guys know what the capacity of the fuel tank is on the STi? I was running on fumes earlier and managed to fill it with 54.2 litres. The needle was below the gauge reading so I'm guessing 55 litre tank?

I have found them a great combination with the OEM specC struts/dampers plus my other suspension updates.

Think you are getting me mixed up with Tony
