08/09 Hatches, Stand up and show yourselves!!!
Cheers Steven, what else have you done to your car? Engine wise? Also if your using syvecs have you got a toucan? I also have syvecs and do use a toucan which is great for keeping an eye etc and scrolling through maps.
I've got a technical question about mapping...
I've got a Slowboy racing open source map which I'm really happy with. Anyway, I tried asking Neil this ages ago but I don't think I was explaining myself very well.
The car has 3 si-drive settings as you know - sport, sports sharp and intelligent.
I run the car in sport setting daily, and this is the standard mode the car starts up in. My question is if the car is sitting in sport mode when the remap is uploaded to the car, does that mean that it is only the sport mode setting that has access to the map?
So to explain more, what I mean is if I then turn the car into sports sharp mode to have a race, or intelligent mode for fuel saving am I essentially switching my remap off, or is the remap blanket coverage across all three modes automatically?
I'm back at Slowboy in a fortnight so I'll ask Neil again and try to explain myself more clearly if I can't get an answer on here.

Mapping should be blanket.
The Si-Drive apparently only changes the throttle response ( which then affects other parameters ) so making it feel faster / more responsive.
I had initially thought there were different maps on each setting - more boost, more ignition advance etc. on each but told not so by my mappers.
This is on a ECUtek map.
The Ecutek Racerom patch does offer "another" map, or at least a semblance of it for boost, fuel, ign, etc. I believe. e.g. 2nd map for meths mixture fuel and appropriate settings.

I'd hate to think every time I was having a little dabble against someone I was making the mapping worse by changing the SI drive setting.
My other half has a factory standard Mazda 3 MPS MK2 and her display says 23.6mpg with similar types of driving routes, so I'm pretty happy with my MPG.

I'm pleased with mine. Had them on the last couple of weeks.
I was missing a set of clips so they sent me some more. You need two each window deflector.
Also I'd advise to watch the heko website video on fitting. Just to get the best place to fit the clips.

Yeah no worries, I have fitted many many sets of these and ClimAir (Ford approved) sets to my previous cars, and for my friends. It's always a little daunting, thinking your're going to break them, but it's really rather easy, and the clips are no problem either.
On Friday my 330S which I've only had for 4 months, broke down on the motorway! Doing about 70mph, not booting it at all, engine went thump and cel came on etc.
diagnostic tool showed code P0244 turbo wastegate solenoid range / performance
Car went back to dealer and after they examined it they told me it was an ecu map problem.
They contacted Subaru for more info but Subaru initially said the ecu on that model has no known issues.
They dealer then say they found an old bulletin saying there IS a known issue on the 330S causing that exact symptom and that it requires a replacement ecu. Subaru then accepted they had forgotten about that issue and agreed to fix the ecu.
Dealer are now removing the ecu and sending back to Subaru to get it changed/updated.
All sounds odd to me. Can anyone comment on this?
Thanks.

Long shot I know but before I order one does anyone have a JDM radio surround they no longer need, will order from Japan if not, tried the cheaper version and sold on as was not happy with the quality.

Not common for the boost control solenoid to stick on a hatch, the Prodrive map has been known to Overboost.
