08/09 Hatches, Stand up and show yourselves!!!
That thing is mental, it is massive. It would melt the rear bumpers of other cars on full beam....
Up to you n all that, but I would only fit that light pod if I lived in the middle of nowhere and liked driving fast at night on country lanes, or was entering a night stage on a rally...

P.S. We all know HID's give off very little heat as they are very efficient....
Hi Guys,
do you allow 2 litre hatches on here or is it just a thread for big boys
Pictured below is my first venture into the non European car market and therefore my first Scooby.
I did trial a 2.5 but head/wallet/wife won the day over my heart so I purchased a 2.0 RX.
At some stage I will either look at under bonnet mods to improve acceleration or go for an STi but for now Im very happy with what Ive bought.

I Like it, loving the rear diffuser and especially the plate, hope your grandson likes it too If I recall correctly.
Quite a few peeps on here (well everyone) are modding their STI's so you may get a few cheap go faster STI parts like an exhaust etc so keep you eye out.

RedMike:
I liked dark grey best, but Iain Litcho only had a blue import left so it was that or pay another £4K for a new import on worse exchange rates. Now I'm glad I got WRX blue as I've gone off the dark grey a bit.

Those rally lights make it look front heavy like Porche is tail heavy !!!
Should work well in Norwegian winters though !!

just got back from rallyday event weekender and my hatch was tucked in the corner of our club stand (RB5 & RB320's) but i noticed so many people looking all round it, and over hearing the same things, "i realy dont like these but this one looks amazing and made me change my mind"
a few tasty mods can really turn the hatch into something different and really alter peoples views, its great and I still love the looks people have when driving past you with puzzled views of "what is that??" lol

Yes we have noticed when we do club displays people are really curious then warming to the future of Subaru ,we are lucky that we have now 5 in our club and interest is high in them
comments like didnt like them when they first came out ,but do now ,helps when we have a real crowd puller like Robs white STi which really turns heads to drag in the people
New shap hatch is the future ,there is some fantastic examples in the american forums as they have really taken off over there
as more modded ones get out more purists will be drawn to them along with the excellent Ken Block movies which is the best advert Subaru can ever have
the future is good

Could anyone with a CAI, preferably Litchfields, do a sound recording if possible? Just need to make sure mine making correct noises. Sounds like a Dyson then changes sound when you put your foot to the floor. Is this right?
Sound like a numpty i know!!!

Hi all
May I ask whether anyone has successfully fitted a replacement double DIN radio? I have a Kenwood DNX7200 to fit, but not sure where to source the steering wheel module etc, and whether I need a facia adapter?
Thanks

I changed my headunit to a single din fold out alpine install, you ideally need to change the panel around the radio to a jdm av surround as it 13mm narrower on each side. or as a tempory measure fit a filler panel.
you can either ring Iain at litchfield imports or go online at Japanparts.com - Mail order from Japan directly|JDM Parts,Performance Auto Parts, for Subaru, Mazda,Mitsubishi,Honda,Nissan,Toyota car and do a search under the 08 impreza there about £70 Onwards to buy
the filler plate can be bought from ebay for about £12 and comes with a harness adapter.
I have yet to get hold of a steering wheel adapter, someone maybe along shortly who could point you in the right direction for that part..

Saw two other STis out there. One was a standard Euro Spec version, the other was a tricked out rally replica. Will upload some photos of it shortly.
Things I need to change before I go out again:
Brake pipes, fluid and pads - after 4 laps the brakes where totally spongey. Had a nasty foot to the floor moment trying to avoid a BMW that resulted in the need to pump the pedal to get somr eretardation
Tyres - I went on my road tyres and opted not to take the track wheels and R888s. I now need a new set of front tyres
. As the waehter was good on Sunday the R888s would have been awesome
Noise - need to free the burble as the P1s,Wagons and bugeyes all sounded awesome
Power - Need more (but in reality, not much more
)
Have to say, would not have enjoyed the trip so much without the Litcho Handling pack. No way would I want to lob a standard car through Brunchen without being sure what the front and rear ends where doing.
Only issues I had were that I lost the hub covers off my Dare Drift rims on the Karrussel, other than that, all good.
