08/09 Hatches, Stand up and show yourselves!!!
See there is confusion aboard lol, according to EVO mag (although not the best write up) but here you go, towards the end paragraph
" I was more intrigued than most to try the STI 330S that was in for last month’s Car of the Year epic. The ‘S’ promises to put some of the old fire back in the STI’s belly, lifting peak power from 296 to 325bhp, and torque from 300 to 347lb ft, and restoring a little of the old trademark exhaust burble. It also adds shiny 18in five-spoke alloys, satnav, Recaros and ‘keyless go’. But then it costs an extra £4400 over the £26,595 STI. So the big question is, is it worth it?
I liked the grippier seats and the satnav; wasn’t so keen on the five-spoke alloys (our STI’s multi-spoke Prodrivers in anthracite grey look way cooler), and keyless go I could happily live without. It was quicker, for sure – particularly at the top end, where our regular STI starts to run out of puff – but not that much quicker. And it sounded throatier, but not that much throatier. Despite being fitted with different springs, the chassis felt unchanged, and critically the steering – particularly in the crucial fractions of a second when you turn into a corner – was as disconcertingly light and devoid of feel as that of any other current Impreza

I have a standard STi 08 but it came with the satnav, recaro seats, key less, tinted windows etc. In Sweden there were no 330s option at all?
Allthough the standard Impreza STi had a retail price beginning at £41 000, a new STI Racing cost the same but with the extra options excluded...

Ok i am going to jump in here.
Having owned both the 08+ Hatch STI in 'standard' and the '330s' I can confirm they both drive like a washing machine with a brick chucked in.
I don't drive then to the garden centres for plant pots & shrubs..... I drive them like I stole them [sometimes]
No difference in ride or height
Not the best pictures but you will see what i mean, silver is the old one.

330S didnt have different springs, the EVO test car may have had the upgrade to promote the ride for the test drivers.
I drove 2 at dealers and they were no different to the standard STI in boat like handling.
easiest way to tell is for the 330S driver to look at their springs!!

I have a Euro spec import, same as a standard UK STI but with the addition of 18inch wheels, heated front seats, heated mirrors and a heated element on the front screen to stop the wipers sticking in in the frost (winter pack).
You have (what we call) a Premium spec STI, this was AFAIK what the UK 330s was based on, but the euro version did not have the PPP map and came with 17inch or 18ince BBS wheels. I very nearly had one of these from Motordepot, it was brand new but had already lost a year off of its warranty as imports warranty start from the day they land in the UK, not from when purchased.

I had the dealer fit the Prodrive springs to my 330S a couple of years ago. Can't remember if they were blue!
But obviously didn't have them before i fitted them! Come with bumpstops too IIRC.

Hi Mark,
Possibly the std 17" wheels & tyres - already got a spare 17" set with winter tyres on ex the hatch forum guys, might be useful to have another spare set for track tyres? For the 1 or 2 days I go to the track!!! Running out of room to store them though!
Don't wanna pay loads and don't want to rob you either. What are you thinking of for them?
Are they still OEM new tyres too?? the Bridgestones?
Plus need to courier them the 220ish miles!
Shame you're moving on but the RS sounds quite neat!
See ya

As above and there's also a part number on them, which unfortunately I can't remember off the top of my head.
IIRC, the spring kit also comes with a sticker that is supposed to be stuck in the service book so that anybody doing subsequent work to the suspension (i.e. strut replacement) knows it has the Prodrive springs and crucially the shorter Prodrive bumpstop which must be swapped over.

has anyone got the ZunSport mesh grills fitted to their STi?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Imp...ht_1477wt_1162
my lower/radiator scoop area looks a bit shabby and wondered if putting the lower mesh (in black) on it would make it look better.

Easiest way to fit is to remove front bumper, can be done without but you need small hands and not mind cutting them up, bumper is a since to whip off though!!
