No Noise as such, when the center diff goes it gives the effect of the rear wheels skipping or the front skipping on the floor or a loud banging noise on full lock

I did suggest in an earlier post that might be the case.

I have the part number but unfortunatly at this time of day I cant price it due to the system being closed. I shall pop a price up tomorrow.

Brilliant idea, the hatch is so much more refined over a hawk, you'll never look back, other than at other hawks in your rear view mirror!!

Cosworth in mine and although you will never tell the differance over a standard filter on the road Duncan commented when the car was mapped that it breathed really well.

I've found the cause of my xenon failure;

My drivers side headlight has condensation inside, never noticed it before but I guess this wet / cold weather has something to do with it. Since the ballast is sat right at the bottom of the unit, the tiny amounts of water have caused a White rusty layer on the earth connection to the ballast. I've cleaned it out, swapped the ballast over and both work again now!

Only thing is I'm not sure where the condensation is coming from, I'm guessing the problem will return unless I can can find a hole somewhere? Im guessing it's the seal. Does anyone know of a miracle way to rid the light of condensation completely or maybe re-seal it somehow?

On another note, I've ordered the front and rear overlays from bluebatmobile thanks Rob for the info.

I'm going to be ordering an STi replica splitter soon, was wondering if anyone had one for sale? I see a few HT Auto splitters on here, just wondering what you're doing with your old ones.

Take the bulbs out and warm the lens with a hairdrier. Also blow warm air into the unit via each bulb apeture in turn.

May cure it for a bit but suspect the glass may need removing resealing.

here you go, just had to try it out...last night. Posted in Photography section too. But thought other Hatch owners might lik eto see my results.

All on ISO 100, Manual Focus and with a tripod on the seat, a 2" timer also used and LiveView to focus too. Push button engine start was also a great help.

Anyone with 330s had issue with the head unit turning off then back on again, starting back up with the Sugar logo and the need to press the Agree button for it to go back to the main screen. Happen 3 times yesterday on an hours drive upto doncaster. It happened the day before too.

salsa - my head unit did turn off once on me during the really cold weather.

I also noticed once during that cold spell that the volume control buttons on the steering wheel appeared to stick a bit or something as volume would begin to increase/decrease more depending on my previous action.

I've got Laura at Burrell's of Doncaster on the case for me looking into it, before my 3yrs warranty runs out at the end of this month.
Been reading my 2yr Subaru extended warranty last night, looks like it covers the radio anyway... but don't want to leave it too long to sort out.

BTW... got insurance quotes on the 330s for this year....
LV £503 FC £300+£300 xs
Gary @ KM £520 FC £350xs mods covered like4like - the 19s and the ProR filter.

going to go with Gary

Does anybody know what the signs are of the PCV failing or sticking are?

I was driving in traffic tonight, second gear about 1500rpm and a steady throttle. It started to feel as if I was on and off the throttle, not a full blown Kangaroo affair but enough to rock me backwards and forwards. I have noticed before that if I'm on light throttle that I can feel engine braking before it picks up again, which I put down to being on a light throttle and going downhill.

Anyone know of any other possibilities that could give these symptoms?

Thanks,
Paul.

odd puff of oily smoke on startup in a morning and maybe a bit of smoke on boost.
Personally an ecu reset maybe of benifit and take it from there, has the car had any mods or work done to it just recently ?

Thanks Rob,
No smoke, nothing done to it since the remap in the middle of last year.
Will the ECU reset like the classics, disconnect the battery and leave it for a while or is it a dealer reset job.
Paul.

Are the brakes on the front a fairly easy affair to change, I have heard a few horror stories of bolts shearing etc.
I have done brakes on my older card just never on a set of brembos

Cheers
