never buy a Rim with Polish Diamond Cut edges or inserts, every one get water behind and the laquer starts to come off or look like spiders legs.

carbon looks good. ;_)

I may well have a faulty "good taste" gene (as has been suggested many times before) but I like that CF rim on that colour rim.

Even if you decide you don't like it - its no biggy to remove the 3M.

Good on you for trying it.

Default White Smoke!!

Hi Guys,
The last few times I've started the car it's given out a plume of white smoke but then runs perfect. Is this what I think it might be? It's 3 years old in September and done 10,250 miles.
Next question:
Does anybody know of a dealer that would replace the piston etc while the engine is out with Forge bits?
The car is standard but has PPP and a K & N panel filter.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Phil

Check your oil level and oil filler cap for excess pressure, mine lost power when it let go.
Paul.

Default Strange problem guys

Can anyone shed some light please,my hatch has developed a problem, traveling down the m1 earlier today the car made a strange jerking movement, beeped (as with the shift light beep thingy)twice and then the engine light came on,also the sport mode light, traction control light and the cruise control light are all flashing alternativey????

Now the car is running really rough,I had a look under the bonnet but couldn't see any obvious signs, but there is water(I think) dripping out of the underside of the car

Anyone know what's going on with the warning lights mentioned above flashing ?

Cheers Marcus

Probably means that those functions are now unavailable because of the type of CEL thats come up and possibly gone into limp/get you home mode.

Need the code/s read asap.

Theres a cel code stored in the car so basically puts the car in sport mode and disables the cruise control and si-drive. you need to get the code reset to find out the fault.

The water could be condensation from the aircon system

Would one of you white hatch owners happen to be based in the Purley area? I've seen a white hatch with black wheels and all the JDM trimmings round Purley a couple of times in the last month or so.

Then on Saturday I saw an '08 white hatch (which I believe is the same car) at the bottom of Selsdon/Gravel Hill (I was the guy who waved in the blue blobeye you pulled alongside!).

If its yours then its a stunning looking car!

Pro-Rs website is now live so you can see all the goodies they have for the 2008+ hatches...

To say i'm disappointed is an understatement. Where are all the chassis development parts etc, it's just Eibach Pro Kits listed and even then they don't list the STi. At least with prodrive things like springs were to their spec and different from normal Eibach kits. Its just seems to be a website that sells parts from Eibach, Scorpion, pipecross and Alcon etc that i can get from lots of suppliers but you seem to keep the factory warranty. Or am i being thick and missing something?

What a let down !!!

If i am honest i wasn't expecting great things, pretty much everything Subaru does nowadays seems to switch me off.

It's so sad but they seem to have lost touch with there customers. The direction, marketing and ultimately their future is just a jumbled mess IMO

Just been looking over Pro-Rs website again, the Richbrook stuff makes me laugh. Seat belt pad, alloy tax disc holder, seat cover... for a minute i couldn't work out if i'd somehow been redirected to the accessory section of Halfords Who the f*ck wants that sh*te?

The pioneer stuff is several hundred pounds too expensive and last years models too!!! The £1400 F20 is now the F30 and is generally £300 cheaper. That's just poor

The only decent kit are the Alcon Brakes, 365 front kit for £2280... or from Litchfield £1915.

I'm that disappointed it actually makes me angry (but that could just be cos i'm grumpy on Mondays )

PS was somebody after a supplier for Prodrive springs a while ago on the hatch forum? Founds a few sets that i'm thinking about for me to conclude my indecisive suspension decision (was waiting for Pro-Rs offering... LOL).

For those with Prodrives, still happy with them?

3 month of waiting for this
My mates 12 year old boy could of done a better website
Tax disc holders and autoglmn and merchandising nothing on the site !!
And doesn't even show my local dealer Stan palmers !
Where is the springs and handling packs ?

And half the products have no image and prices just seem normal retail ?
And styling is just the grills which I would imagine you would get cheaper direct anyway

Market leader ?
Poor website

If anyone is interested in a brand new unused set of the standard tyres off a new 320r that come on the 18" rims, please send me a PM. I'm pretty sure these are the same tyres they were putting on the 330s. Thanks

Not to mention, the only models that aren't mentioned are ours! Talk about a waste of cyberspace.
