Other than some with engine problems they are a cracking car, once they let go you've then got scope to fully forge it

Gave mine a bit of a spruce up today, since it's been parked up for over a week as I've been away with training at work

Ah good old Iron X?

Good stuff that.

Rob, I wasn't saying they're not a good car it's just I think these engine problems have really damaged the Subaru brand - one I was devoted to for years.

As far as the fully forged route, that is indeed the way i would have gone as well towards the end of the warranty. It's just people shouldn't have to do this.

Anyway, I didn't come back on here to have a pop at people and there beloved Hatches. Far from it, I just like to have a nosey from time to time.

Iron x is bloody brilliant gear, I couldn't be without it, I'm sure it brings the white of the car out more lol

I agree with what your saying, We shouldn't have to go the forged route solo. Subaru should just have grown a set of bollocks and said yep we hold our hands up and there is an issue with the pistons, so as a gesture of goodwill for those 1100 units we've sold you can have a forged piston upgrade, similar to the carry on with the p1 many years ago.

Things left to do remove "STI PERFORMANCE" sticker on back relocate foglight into cluster or go for a mugen rr foggy in the bumper and maybe an LM400 turbo.

i'd like to know.. of al the engine problems the 'hatch' has....

HOW MANY HAVE FAILED.....(answer honestly/truthfully)

1. HOW MANY have been sold?

2. HOW MANY FAILED in standard form, nothing touched and ran on SUL

3. HOW MANY FAILED in Std form, but had ran with UL

4. HOW MANY FAILED in a modded form of any kind (zorst/DV etc etc) light modding or heavy

5. HOW MANY have been sold

this might be worth doing as a POLL

I've got the Litcho ones on my car and TBH I wouldn't have another set. They fit fine and have lasted pretty well (nearly 2 years) but they don't look remotely OEM. They're a cherry/purpley red colour and also dull the lights quite a bit. The ones Rob has are from bluebatmobile in the US and look much more OEM.

No hassle at all, same as buying from the UK, just have to wait a wee bit longer for delivery. Depending on declared value, customs may add duty on top but from my understanding bluebat put a low value on it so no duty.

Go onto http://www.bluebatmobile.net (which takes you to their photobucket site) and select which ones you want. Contact details for ordering are on there, pay with Paypal and a few days later you'll have them.

Cheers, Neil

I'm pretty useless at DIY at the best of times, so I'm pretty nervous now, maybe i should have ordered two sets
