What is the best way to remove the chrome badges from the sides of the front arches without breaking them?
Scooby Regular
******* car - thought heater problems solved but oh no, back again!
Changed thermostat yesterday and lots of hot air but just pulled up now and hey ho no hot air. Felt bottom radiator hose and it's cold - any ideas what's going on?!
Car's going in as it's still under warranty so we'll have to see what they say - bloody frustrating though given how cold it is!

All fitted now after the hassle of removing the sticky back tape from the old ones
Pics to follow.
Scooby Regular
Yep it took me longer to clean up the mess from the old tape than it did to remove and replace the originals.

I went out today with my 08WRX to pull my girlfriends car out of the snow (C3 Picasso Boat), which worked pretty well and easy. While pulling out I wasn't focussed on my car but more on here and the behavior.
Now I was pulling a few seconds with my handbrake on
, heard a squeeling noise and smelled bad for a sec.. Damn, I was pretty scared, I could beat myself into the ground that moment!! I went back home again without any traction problems on ice/snow etc so I guess my car is still working normal as his AWD system..
My Q is, could this little dumb action do any harm on my beloved car?? If its just the parkbrake shoes/discs, I guess it isnt really a problem. But I heart that it isn't good for a WRX (not the STi) drifting with a handbrake cause the differential is ... ?
Can anyone explain what could go wrong, or can be damaged?
Damn, I feel terrible now...

There wont be anything wrong inside, My handbrake squeels like a pig if you pull it on while the car is moving. the awd should be ok in the car to be fair they are harder than you could imagine. maybe at worst you'll need to re-adjust the handbrake

slightly off Pix thread topic... but as this threads covering the Hatches...
just done my wifes car insurance on her Focus (54plate.. value £4k) £308 Fc- 9yrs+ NCP... I'm named driver too on it.
So why the quote was there edited the car details with same cover albeit lower milage use.
prices came in the same for a 2009 330s & STi TypeUK = £465 (Fc with NCP)
made my day.... it's only £130 more than I pay on the roadster with 100bhp and car value £6k lol
and only £160 more than she pays for the focus.
Not sure if putting me as main driver makes any difference to a quote, but still don't think price looks bad as it is!!

stop it!! i didn't think of that

Scooby Regular
bought a new Karcher, a 1600W trolley one from Tesco, was £200 down to £90
*** me its good
my STI was black and the grime was solid on the bodywork, the old karcher didnt budge anything, the new one blasted off the top layer which impressed me
then i hook up the snow lance and **** me, the extra power covers the car with foam and it doesnt run at all
the wifes car was almost clean after i blasted off the foam, the 19" RS rims didnt even need a brush!!! great news as I hate the hundreds of spokes lol
the STI needed a wash with shampoo and towel but its now gleaming!!!
people must think i'm mad, washing both cars in a t shirt with it raining and light almost gone lol
