My Euro spec battery has given up less than 1 month out of its 2 year warranty. No goodwill gesture from Subaru (obviously) so any recommendations for good battery makes would be appreciated.

Cheers - just looked on-line at Performace Batteries - seems their Alphaline is OK at £55 with 4 yr warranty
Giving battery 1 last chance to hold its charge over w/end before attacking car with tree branch (John Cleese fashion).

Just had my car lowered. Doesnt look like its made much difference but I can feel it being slightly stiffer and road handling has improved a bit though I need to give it a thrashing to see how well it handles corners, which I cant do until next week. Nevermind. Sigh.

Anywhoo, heres pics before and after in case anyone has been thinking of lowering springs (these are eibach's).

and after:

Had my first problem yesterday, keyless entry was not working on the car. Managed to get it unlocked, then tried starting the car, nothing flashing orange key not detected symbol, thought it might be the keyless remote so went into the house to get the other one, 30 secs later doors deadlocked and there I am stuck in the car. Took 40mins - several waves from outside the car from the wife - before I managed to get one of the keys recognised. Found loose battery connection but upon fixing the problem was still occurring so took the car to main dealer for quick check and all was fine. Stopped and started the car several times on the way home with no problem. Get home and unable to lock the car.

Think its an interference problem as have been out several times today and the problem only occurs at home. I know there were problems with the early Sigma alarms suffering this problem, any hatch owners had a similar problem?

I was on holiday in Scotland with my old Nissan Terrano.. anyway, stopped in Ullapool for a few days, afte the 1st night I came back to the car the central locking stopped working... eventually had to use the key... cursing the battery etc... anyway..left Ullapool... everything ok again... got back to Ullapool the next night..same problem...no central locking off the fob...

Must be some kind of radio interference in the area blanking out the fob signal mate... have you got a fire station or taxi firm nearby?

House backs on to a light industrial estate, taxi office about 1/4-1/2 mile away but been fine to date, nearest fire/police station is couple of miles away.

Seems that the car is only affected on the drive, 10ft away off the drive and the car locks/unlocks fine

Strange but the long suffering misses always likes to take the greenwagon over the blue one as she likes the noise and it doesn't lean on the corners and the shopping doesn't topple over in the boot she tells me

What do they look like in the daylight when off, do they make the fogs look yellow as I was going to tint the lenses yellow?

anyone interested in buying a H&S Centrepipe? Its only a month old, have changed it for a full de-cat, so I need to get rid.

Also got a standard Recirc Valve, 4 OEM Wheels with Yokohamas, a WRX roof spoiler and OEM WRX Air Filter kit box.

They still look clear/white as standard.. They are very bright too as you can see and make a big difference in fog!
