I know somewhere just like that. Can you rename it The Pub?

As for **** on the Internet, I don't really care, everyone to their own (it saves me faking a headache!)

KOT: It's already there mate, Stu put it in as a sticky in the first instance as the description of the forum is quite clear: don't come in if you're likely to be offended by adult material!
Torquemada: get some food!
Whether material deemed inappropriate for NSR ends up sin binned or in the adult section is kind of a moot point: material deemed not safe for all ages had to go in the past and it will have to go now. The difference is there is now another destination for it to end up in.
Will I move stuff that isn't safe for all ages in the open access forums? Yes
Will I suddenly become more draconian in my interpretation of what is acceptable so I can move material with the ulterior motive of raising extra subscriptions to SN? No. I would find that morally objectionable and if asked to do it would resign as a mod.
The point is that we aren't on commission or anything like that: we do this for free! We have no vested interest in getting people to pay up!
Will the kinds of material that gets moved from open forums change? As Ali says, that depends largely on the community: the more they report, the more we see! It's always been that way!
Will this affect the perception of what is acceptable in open access forums. Probably: it could go either way, people might start asking why we're not moving stuff more readily, or might complain we're too keen. As with many decisions, there is scope for "grey" areas and judgment calls will need to be made, BUT raising funds for SN WILL NOT be part of that call!
You have my word there is nothing underhand going on here!

Yep, all makes sense, we'll just have to see how it goes I guess, and it's probably more of a case of resistance to change for the most part and therefore maybe a few unfounded worries
I must say that I've never thought the mods got any sort of monetary compensation for the time they spend working on the boards, as your 'jobs' are more to do with working for the members rather than for IB, imo anyway.
Well, it would be nice to not have to pay for the adults only area, if it's not just a load of hardcore that is (there's plenty other places for that), but that part of things has been covered by the mods. Fair do's, I can't complain too much as I don't pay a penny towards the running of the place.
It does sound as though the adult section might be a bit more of a den of meat curtains than anything else at the mo' though.
I'm sure it will evolve/devolve

Can't see what the problem is TBH.
I can certainly understand why some people won't like the new section, but nobody is being forced to look in there.
I think that Fight Club / Muppets is a waste of space on this forum, but i appreciate others like it, so i act like an aduld and just ignore it, instead of throwing my toys out the pram.
Some people seem to be being far too sensitive over it IMO.
Do you go into a garage for petrol, them complain to the manager and refuse to use the place because they also have nudy mags for sale in there aswell???
Or refuse to read The Sun because of page 3??? (poor example i know, but you know what i mean).

I wonder how long it will be before the adult section has its own sub-forums. Perhaps a Member's [sic] gallery, where all the cars have to have the missus on the bonnet giving it the full-on "spam butterfly".

I don't think he needs to, it's a principle thing.... I've been in there and there is hardcore **** in there! Should we all be OK with that "in this day and age"? Some of us would like to think we've got more morals TBH.

I don't need to go to China to know the general physical appearance of its natives. Also, the way the forum has been introduced doesn't allow long-standing members who haven't subscribed (like myself) the privilege(?) of browsing the forum and making up our own minds. I have no doubt that **** will be the lowest common denominator in that section, and I'm positive its presence is harmful to the overall prestige of the forum.

Claire probably yes from what I've seen so far, as you know I love the female form, but I'm not into looking at hardcore **** on the web tbh, nor do I want to see a bunch of so called adults swearing on a forum, just cos they can.

Ahh, so several people what are complaining about the content of the forum haven't even been in there, and they can't do so because they don't actually pay to use this site.
I am not saying i agree with having hardcore **** on here, i actually agree very much so with Corradoboy.
FWIW the best post in there is NS04's 'motivational' one, which isn't anything to do with ****, just adult humour.

There are people on here who won't like the section (although it's not all about ****), as much as those who don't like a load of swearing and fighting won't bother with fight club, or those who think muppets is just silly and won't bother with that. I know there are differences in the things I mention, but it does come down to taste, and to me, if it's not to someones taste, stay away.
I don't see the need to explain my moral standing on this, but what I will say, is I respect both the right for people to have somewhere more adult to do whatever they wish (obviously within reason) as I respect the right of people not to bother. Nobody is being forced either way.

Jesus, two weeks away from the place and its all change
I thought the Adult forum was going to be a Wimmins section and a Mens section. Not all together.
To he honest, I have no interest in seeing a load of old ****e, that can be seen anywhere via Google. I come in here for a laugh and a good old debate. I have no interest is seeing a bunch of sad old pervs, slapping each other on the back at the latest minge shot.
Count me out.
