Sorry im properly being a right pest now.

Im having problems with trying to find out Exactly what the problem is.
Subaru are saying that they could run a compression test and it come back fine. But they say it doesn’t mean something hasn’t gone inside. I really don’t know what to do to get to the bottom of this and be 100% sure of the problem before spending money I don’t have..
Ive just lost my job so money is tight therefore I cant chuck money at it just to be told compression is ok but its still dead.
No job and no car to find a new job so im having to go find some shed for £50 to get about.

Don’t know what to do to get a solid answer. Im totally screwed guys
Looks like the best thing is to cover it up and leave it till such times I can afford to waste money on finding the fault.

You will be loosing performance due to oil contamination of the intake, effectively lowering the octane of your fuel.

The breathers are connected to the intake pipe, via the PCV system, so oil dripping out of them could still be related to pressurized oil getting into intake.

The fact that, as the dealers have pointed out, the oil is un-burnt and the engine sounds ok does sound to me like the turbo oil seals are on their way out. TD05's can be rebuilt iirc, I'm sure most places offer a replacement/exchange service.

Lol, the cast pistons in my 05 wrx must be ready to pop after 4+yrs/40k @ 1.6bar.. I'm sure that the vast majority of owners on hear are running much more that 1.2bar..!

Where could I take it other than Subaru to get compression tested.

What’s good for getting power without raising boost pressure. Id really like more off boost grunt if its possible as there is none at all on mine.
Any garage should be able to do a comp test, does'nt have to be a specialist, will take a good hour to do all 4 though.
As already said there are various turbo's to get differ'nt power deliveries. Ultimately it's all about boost/cylinder pressure, and for that you need a good bottom end and headgasket set up.

What would be a good setup to run 350 to 400bhp safely.
Who would you recommend to do it and what sort of £££ we talking.

ANY garage should be able to do a compression test, find a good Impreza specialist nearby rather than taking it to a dealer IMO

Cool

Don't go to a subaru dealer go to a specialist - the nearest to Reading is Subaru4U at Newbury. They're first class and don't charge the earth.

for 350 bhp - 400bhp you need pistons, rods, bearings, head bolts, steal gaskets and a nice fat turbo and fmic and injectors some good money 3500.00 for the build its something that should be done right not the quick way
