Well if I can do it myself I will.
Didn't see the point of forking out lots for fancy rails when they're a non mechanical part that I can make easy enough.

Cheers Simon. Looking forward to letting you loose with it to see how it goes. I'm watching Daz's rusults eagerly as the specs on the motors are quite similar

Been quiet a few days now guys.
Basically i got 99% of the engine harness done. But i still wasnt quite happy with it so decided to tear it all back and start again. So i am now mid way through my 2nd time at doing it and im now really pleased with how its turning out.
I have made a small sub assembly harness up just for the cam/crank sensors, this i have finished.
It was much neater to do this and take the plug over the gearbox as it keeps everything around the turboside much much neater.
The main harness is now almost complete and ready for sleeving. I have done away with the stock harness gutter and its all looking much neater.
Im really liking the new look.

Okay guys, i ran out of large heatshrink on the last few joins so i'll get some more of this tomorrow. Other than that the new harness is pretty much complete.
I laid it on just loose and so far it seems to fit good. I need to add P-clips and zip ties etc when it gets fitted for real. Admittedly im no expert loom builder or electrician but so far so good.

I want to keep my aircon as its primarily a road car. I see absolutely no gains to rotating the manifold other than looks. I want the car to retain the OE look and don't want to start cutting the bonnet and grinding the alternator to fit.
No gains with maximum agro as I see it.

Haha, cheers James. I hope to try and keep the updates as regular as possible. Its hard keeping up a pace. The man hours gone into this now are massive. I try and do as much as I can as its nice to keep the build moving.
Just caught up with this thread.
Looking super cool Frayz, and the plastic formed parts are very interesting.
Don't take this the wrong way, but that engine build looks so good, and too good to slot back into a std engine bay...

No offense at all Neil and you're not the first to say that. Trouble is I'm no painter and its just so much work for me to paint it especially as I don't have a garage to do it in at the moment. I also can't afford to pay to have it done. Its just me making more work for myself.
I'm sure it will look fine, I'll do my best to make it look nice.

If you PM me your number then maybe I can call you and see if we could work something.
Once again, thank you so much. Even the offer is more than enough.
