Its the Hyper Compe R Neil, quite a bit lighter with supposedly more clamping load than the regular Hyper Twin.
It looks stunning and seems a shame to hide it away in the bellhousing. Lol
What's the motor spec on yours now? Your build looks fantastic

I take it that you have balanced the volume in all four combustion chambers. I was also wondering how you have compensated for the lowering of the compression because of the reworking to the comb/chambers. Have the pistons been manufactured to your spec.

Yes all were CNC machined to the exact same volume. The areas i have smoothed has been done so very very carefully and i will ensure these all match perfectly with another cc check.
These were 2ltr heads with a cc volume of 49cc. Remember these are going on a 2.5 motor. Stock EJ257 heads are 55.5cc.
These are slightly different, but much closer to that of the 2.5 volumes.
The pistons are Lateral/Wiseco custom jobbies. Im not disclosing my exact CR just yet. I will cc the piston bowls and measure the crown to block heights on build.
Im not aware of anyone here having done what ive done here with this. So with almost no other info regarding the alteration of the combustion chambers. I decided to do some to my own spec.

Back in the 70's (Ford days) when we reworked the heads we used to measure the cc's with pipettes but I would think that things have moved on a bit since then.

yes.. thinking back that 480 may have been at 1.5bar as it was 1.6bar on his defi on test drive.. usually 0.1bar different.. but that was a very good engine.

The CR is going to be low on this, but if it's for V-power then it will be quite good. The Lateral/Wiseco pistons have a high comp height (and stick out the block) requiring .4+ thick head gaskets. I wouldn't have gone so big on the chambers, but hey ho, it will be fine, just add more boost!
PS Have you seen the difference in power just a change of headers can make?

A 3076 core can certainly provide over 500bhp using VPower on a 2.5 (by quite some margin), all other things being equal.
