Call from the machinists to say my modified block is done. Heads will be done by the end of the week.
Looks like things might actually get interesting soon. Yawn!!

Sick of waiting on others to be honest mate, but I'm afraid sometimes we have no choice.
Let's just hope it all comes together soon before I lose total interest and break the poxy thing.

been/still there, it's easy done.........

car was nearly a year in my mates garage while we rebuilt it, had it 5 weeks then got pinched, got it back and took 5 months to get money off the insurers, best part of two years without it now she's back soon though...........

once you get a few bits together and get stuck in again you soon get back in the swing

Machinist called me again today to go and have a look at the work being done to the combustion chambers on the heads. They wanted me to take a look for myself to make sure i was happy with design etc.

Happy is an understatement. Over the moon with the CNC work done so far. They should be complete by the end of the week so i'll probably collect them early next week.

Block is also finished and looks fantastic.

The excitement is starting to build.

Lol @ parts on the bed. My turbos a tiddler compared to most these days Si. My lowly 450+ target isn't worth sniffing at anymore haha. Still one or two items to finalise before things start getting built, but its nice to feel like its actually getting there now.Bit late now to collect my block + heads so will probably get them early next week.Forgotten just how much crap I'd bought for this build till I posted those pics. Haha.
