How old were your kids before you took them on a plane/holiday?

Take your kids on a plane at any age you like, just no on the same plane as me please!
I was 5 when I first went on a plane, that was back in 1971, and flown at least once a year for every year since.

Took my daughter on a 4 hour flight to the canary islands when she was 8 months nd she was great. It was hard work coming up with new ways of keeping her amused though.
She is now 21 months and we are going to Portugal for 10 days in April. Im proper bricking it this time

Never mind other passengers, I've got an 11-12 hr flight to Tokyo in 2 weeks with my 3 and 6 year olds.
A 3 week holiday and 8 flights.
What fun
My youngest was about minus 4 months when she first went on a 'plane

One thing I forgot to say is: no matter how bad you think it is listening to someone else's kid kicking off, it's worse when it's your own kid and everything you try doesn't work and all you can think about is how pissed off the other passengers are going to be.

But that's the point at least you would be trying, and normal people would see that and hopefully understand.
It's the parents that ignore the screaming kids that gets peoples back up.
