litchfield twin scroll turbo
There's no twinscroll 2.5 from the factory - mine started life as a JDM 2.0l twinscroll and I then had an EJ257 built and stuck with the twinscroll setup.
Here's a link to the EJ257 tomei headers

Oh ok!
I put this one on my last STI hawkeyes in single-scroll and it was very effective! Before the map i had 304bhp with only this header/up, bellmouth DP and JIC titanium catback. But it is a single-scroll
i'll try the EJ20 twinscroll but if we have some trouble i'll try to make a copy of this one with measure of the equal single-scroll....

LOL
I'll let you choose

1) "I WANT 300bhp at 1000rpm or you'll get another one"
2) The acceleration of the LM400
3) I was getting very bored at pootling about mapping at 30-60mph
so if he ask to plant the throttle, I pretended I was deaf
....."That will do" "That will do" "That will doooo!!!"
Negitive G over some yumps. now that was fun
not so much if your trying to hold on to a laptop, So I think i stressed him out a bit.

Doubt the Litchfield LM400 at your peril!!!
Do yourself and your twinscroll a favour..........

Is anyone else having boost control issues???
My wastegate is sticking, and boost is spiking/creeping at WOT, didnt show up on dyno as preloaded for 3 or so seconds before each run. See pictures below for description of issues, be very interested to see if anyone else is having issues:

Cheers

When I was up at Surrey Rolling Road there was a chap, Mel, with an LM450 on a hawkeye spec C fitted with Hybrid FMIC - he got around 460bhp, but not sure what boost that was at: nothing outrageous though.
Hi Scatty,
These are my RR figures if this helps?

Boost peaks @ 1.75bar tailing off to 1.6 at around 4500rpm
Although it seems to change slighty dependant on atmospheric conditions.
Tuesdays map was just to tweak the fueling but results were almost exactly the same, hit 458.9bhp and 422 lb/ft.
If you need any more info feel free to pm me.
Have you had yours mapped yet?
Mel

Its setup on a Simtek,
2 maps - 1st for daily driving with boost set to actuator pressure (which is around 1.1 - 1.2bar, but still makes 370 bhp
)
2nd for i want the extra fun
.
All this and is only using v-power.

How did you get the yellow gear **** to almost come out of the pic, it looks 3D, did you use some photoshop tool? Great pic

Rich-Ita,
The LM400 spools better than the 420, as that spools better than a 450. The difference in spool between the 400 and 450 is quite substantial, depending on your engine configuration. It all depends on how much the lowdown driveability is important to you, with a larger turbo on a 2ltr.
IMO the LM450 maybe better suited to a 2.5 to get the best all round potential.
Here are my actual boost logs from DeltaDash of the LM400 on my OE JDM 2ltr:
VF37 (4th Gear Log)
.92bar @ 3018
1.19bar @ 3236
1.44bar @ 3498
LM400 (4th Gear Log with base map)
.95bar @ 3051
1.19bar @ 3220
1.53bar @ 3386 (more boost than VF37 above and faster to get there)
Remember these are 4th gear pulls, so 5th and 6th are considerably quicker to spool with 1bar at circa 2700rpm for both the VF37 and LM400.

I will try and get some logs for my LM480-equipped 2.5 for comparison over the weekend...once I've got to grips with the Syvecs logging capabilities!
Oh...did I mention...I've got a Syvecs fitted now

I had mine tweaked at Iains today

it's just a turbo
