im in the same boat as u, been looking for ages for the right car, gutted at having to seel my last 2 classics, both were mint, last one i had imported from japan was a v3 sti in white only 40k on the clock, totally mint, spent loads on it, full decat, major service cam belt etc, then ended up selling it for £4100, which was a hell of a lot less then i had paid/spent on it, miss it and been driving a polo for a few months and look at the cars for sale everyday, thing is there is a mint sonic blue classic 5 mins from my house, guy useed to work beside me, older guy in his late 40's, hes had it for 5 years, minor mods, full hayward and scott, whiteline droplinks, prodrive quickshift, ecutek mapped by andy forrest, been at him to sell it to me for ages but hes not for selling, for now anyway!!! as soon as it does become available i will snap his arm off for it, he has my number.

Have a look here mate, couple of decent looking STI's. I put my classic on the trader and it went within 24 hours and had loads of interest. Glad you shifted your 182.

The only problem i can see with that scooby are the fact it's been chipped.....and the boot carpet..it won't be mint being 9 years old will it

Also if i get it for the right price it will be getting ECU tek'd within a few weeks.

It'll stink of cigarette smoke too (pic 9) - but since when has a car had 'sheets'?

All I see is a grubby boot carpet and a reflection of the gravel car park in the doors that might be mistaken for dirt...

The trouble with these "low mileage" cars is that the owner(s) normally want stupid money for them, and for a 20k more mileage car its about 3k cheaper, and i know where i would put my money (3k is alot ) plus you want the extra's like air con!

A couple of nice examples

Subaru : RARE UK IMPREZA 99 LOW MILES **PRICE REDUCED** (has ac)
Subaru : Impreza WR Sport Prodrive UK car (dont think it has ac )
Subaru : RB5 WRsport Prodrive A little expensive but....
Subaru : Subaru Impreza 2000 Turbo Prodrive.. again i think no ac and has a dv...

Subaru : impreza turbo My first scoob (7 miles on the clock it was a stunning example except i had 17 inch pd7's in antracite and no stupid mud flaps, otherwise it is as i had her )

Plenty out there its just the travel and disappointment you have to put up with but once you find what your after

I really wanted your old Sonic Blue car - I like flaps though

Wasn't sure about the leather seats in the above link. RB5 is nice but I'm not sure I like the colour and they are quite expensive. The WR Sport looks great but its silver and I don't want silver. The others look OK but again they aren't Sonic Blue.

Theres 2 UK/EU sonic blue within 50 miles of me but both have nigh on 100K, patchy history but only £3K so plenty of dosh left over for mods.

I really want sonic blue with those lovely blue WRC seats and unless its on a 2 door I don't really like the high level rear spoilers. I want the rev counter in the middle and the matching blue dash bits. I really want one with a roof vent and DCCD but I can live without them.

Someone asked me if I'd sell my MY00 wagon today (sonic blue as well) but I'm not sure I could bring myself to flog it.. I really love the car.

I've driven 2 other MY00 wagons recently and they were so nasty compared to my car (even with similar mileage) mine has just been looked after really well and it shows!

I actually put it back to std the other week to sell it but with the market as it is I really can't be bothered.

I do kick myself for not buying the sonic MY00 saloon Turbo that was on PH last year
