Think the point is weather or not scoobynewbie72 is being a t.w.a.t or not, if the shop was open people should be out front and not all having lunch at the same time. Think about the amount of grief you could have had if not saved by the CCTV. It only takes one idiot to spoil business for you and no news travels like bad news. Funny though that you stuffed it up his bottom with the CCTV though, bet he wont be around for a while lol

I think most reasonable people which is the majority of us would have had no problem seeing staff eating and being told i will be with you in a minute as has been said by scoobyclinic.

Unfortunately many of us have to eat on the hoof during work time if at all and dont all have the benefit of set breaks etc.

The bottom line is the complainer has disappeared into the sunset to lick his wounds and hasnt got the spine or decency to get back on his keyboard as quickly as when he was moaning.

His absence says everything.

He would need GOD as his solicitor to defend this one.

Liars always come a cropper and so they should.

We now pay £36000 per year rent for 12500 sq ft. We were paying £92,000 in year 2000 for 13,500 sq ft.

Imagine what £92,000 per year does for costs and labour charges. It works out at best part of £2000.00 per week just to unlock the doors and walk in on a Monday. Then there is electric, gas, heating oil all of which have gone up hugely in the last couple of years.

The quality of the workmanship or service does not equate to the quality of the buildings it is done in.

Scary stuff. Wonder what the motivation was behind the original post. This thread should stay to show how skewed some reports can be. OP should be crossing all available limbs that SC dont get their legal guys on this. Id be ABSOLUTELY fuming if I found someone speading tales like these about my business.

I wasn't having a dig just making sure you stayed the right side of the law but if that's not the case then as a CCTV engineer i'll give you my 10 pence worth.

You can post the infomation and the video however the target (or any target for that matter) must not be identifiable and all car registrations must be blanked.

So by all means post the video but no one will/should be able to tell who it is because the target should be blanked out.

And by looking at those cctv images probably couldn't tell Adam from Eve anyway.

Shouldn't you be out serving customers lol

Only kidding.

PS not making any direct insults to you guys never had a huge amount of dealings with you and did have some bad experience's but can't remember if it was you or the other one. That said i didn't jump on here and slate them.

Same here , personally posting up the CCTV has done nothing to improve the reputation of your business and IMO has made you look just as bad as the OP.

I don't know what the solution is really, clearly any old muppet shouldn't be allowed to come onto a forum like this and slag of your business but maybe a RTM for the original post with an explanation would be a better way to go in the future.

Maybe i'm in the minority here but i'd always try to outwit a difficult customer pleasantly in public no matter what I thought of them in private. Difficult to do I know but your business comes out looking all the better for it.

Aaah I got it now, when the gujys at Sc realised they were in the poo; they quickly hired a blue Audi, reset the clocks on the cctv, got someone to walk past, then walk back again in neutral colour clothes, inside 4 minutes, then drove off the in the Audi making sure the no plates were obscured.

Of course! Anyone would do that!

On another matter I have just realised that the OP called me recently about buying one of my sales cars.

Aren't I glad he didn't , who needs customers like that?

SN72 came with an older chap may be his dad? you can see him behind the van and then in front of him on the way out of the workshop it must of been his car.

its awkward being in the middle ads and I dont want to offend either of you, but I wanted to make sure there was no doubt it was him and not someone else.

I don't know what the solution is really,
That's because there is *NO* solution. Think about it for a little while. Explore every possibility. Sooner or later you will realise that there is no way to deal with the situation professionally and come out smelling of roses. You could "do the right thing" and deal with it offline - if this means pulling the thread you get accused of heavy handed tactics - if the thread stays you still look like your customer service is very poor. No win situation, because people will naturally back the underdog, we all like a good David and Goliath tail, triumph against the odds etc.

I knew that posting the CCTV images was perhaps very close to the mark, but at the same time you have to draw a line at some point and make a stance. This far and no further. People need to see that, sometimes, Goliath really does have a point! Would I have preferred to deal with it another way ? Yes of course. But nothing would have worked quite as elegantly and swiftly, so the whole audience get to see the truth. They say the truth will set you free, but if we can't reveal the truth for all to see, what use is it ?

Cheers,

Pat.

Thread is proper funny! The worrying point though is that if someone did not read the whole of this topic and see CCTV evidence, they may just read the first few points and think another bad Scoobyclinic post which isnt good. Its so easy to destroy a company's reputation now.

Ive been up to the Clinic a few times and been no problems with me. Adam will sometimes moan if i walk in with McDonalds that I didnt get him any but thats about it!

Im sure somewhere there used to be a note of Scoobyclinic's lunch time being 12.30-1 or something like that. Maybe on the answerphone message or maybe a note Ive seen on the email or on site (cant remember).

Anyone that has been up to Scoobyclinic will know there are no sandwich shops close. When Ive been there, one of the lads will go and get the Chinese, chips, hot food whatever. So by the time he gets back, they all eat. Otherwise someone would end up with some bl**dy cold food!

People talk about handling replies differently. Mayba Adam could have been more polite? But then again someone slagging off a trader that has been around for years and spent years building up a reputation shouldnt be so keen to jump on the keyboard! Who knows, just my 2p worth...........

Of the times I have been to scoobyclinic and say they get everyones food from the Chinesses takeaway, their isn't much option for them to take a stagered break. Not all the staff sit in the canteen but if Adam said he would be a few minutes due to eating?? I'm sure he was telling the truth and would of left his food tgo serve a customer but not JUMP to serve a customer. People are still forgetting shops STILL close for luunch breaks. Realistically if your boss asked you to abandon your lunch break to work?? what would you say. The bars I drink in I have to wait for ages to get served but I still go back week after week, it doesn't mean the place is bad

Well said mate, as a lot of people will know i use clinic and have done for 2+years they know my scoob inside out and would never take it anywhere else, As for kev i think he gets alot of crap sometimes from customers and gets really pi##ed off, i dont think alot of people realise just how much kev puts into the company and how much time and effort he spends keeping it going, so when he gets customers like this its like a slap in the face for him, but its really nice to see so many people supporting scoobyclinic for once cos there are alot out there with some fantastic cars that they have built and more to come.

Keep the support coming guys

Looks like the OP is bang to rights!

This thread reminds me of one not long ago where some guy sold a car with a dodgy diff but swore blind it was fine when i he sold it, only to be sussed out when a post he left a few weeks prior about a diff problem came back to haunt him...Busted!
