Looking awsome mate! Ive had to sit here and watch you progress with your car while Ive been stuck in Uni.... 3 weeks left and I'll be back on mine! Got alot of extra goodies to go on as soon as I get home!

Was going to ask you, what is that battery you got and where can I get one?

Also, I thought the camo looked alright, maybe abit heavy on the white but did give a good effect.... saying that its gonna look awsome being black with bright orange wheels (if you still have them orange?)! Maybe I'll see it on a track day some time :P

Alright Gaz, I now have the car more or less finished, now its time to bash the books for my exam and ICA's due in soon (woops) lol.

I got the battery (and quite a lot of other bits) from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=290408549270

The above battery is the same as Odyssey battery but half the price... works spot on, and is being held down with this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=190373171319

The camo looked good from far away, but once you got close it wasnt that good... just going to keep it to the wings... and aye, i'll still be running the orange slicks when its dry

Should get yourself down to Japfest on the 15th... not too far from you (Castle Combe) - I'll be there on track

Aye been having a word with Alyn @ ASP, he's got some baffled sumps for £85 including exchange for old sump... So i think im going to go down that route... Going to pop up sometime this week and go take a look at it, so might have to add that this weekend (will have to find something to put all my oil in as its pretty much brand new stuff - talk about doing things backwards )

I use an Odyssey 680 and not sure i would go smaller capacity than it.

Turned everything on to test the battery out (AC, Lights, Fans Full, Hazards) and the voltage never dropped below 13volts on idol, didnt blow the 100amp breaker i have and with a bit of revs it went up a little... to be fair though, i wont be using all that power anyway, ive no electric windows, wont be using the headlights and things, and chances are i'll have the blowers off most of the time... battery is only there to get the car started up pretty much, alternator does the rest

I'll get some picture and stuff taken, and let you know what i think about it... but to be fair, any baffled sump will probably be better then no baffled sump, and for 85 quid you cant really go wrong.

Dont think I'll make JapFest got exams all around that date which sucks.... was down at combe a few weeks ago at some show/track day, it was a very good outing.... pitty I was just watching tho!

I just followed what this guy did pretty much
http://wgbuckley.com/projects/battery.html

I used a distribution block because i ran new wires from the block to the fuse box and to the starter motor, so it was easier to run the main wire from battery to distribution block, then from there to fusebox and from block to starter motor.

Might be the same type of baffled sump... will take a look at it sometime soon and let ya know...

I've got an exam on the 18th (a couple of days after Japfest, so I'll be revising like crazy when I get back and a few days before, which is why i was trying to get the car finished last weekend so i can revise. Luckily I only have one exam this year.

Thats just a standard one mate, the rcm baffled ones are over £500 and that is the cheapest one.

oh yea :S lol my mistake! Hmmm would be interesting to see what the ones Jamz is on about looks like in comparison then.

Jamz, I hope your exam goes well and I will be expecting lots of pictures from Jap Fest. I got 5 exams this year some before jap fest and some just after so I really need all my time to revise! Cant wait to finish for the summer though, dunno if its worth starting up my project thread again seeing as it was deleted last time

Good luck with it all!

The best baffled sump I have seen is the one Mark at Lateral produces and its not any where as expensive as the RCM one.

I used quantum physics to find it. Just searched in your profile for all threads started by you.

Go into your UserCP - Edit Options - Scroll down "Default Thread Age Cut Off" and change it to show all threads and you'll be sorted.
