I will give him until tomorrow to acknowledge my latest email. I would like to phone him, but I suspect it could get nasty based upon his rather short responses and I don't want to be involved in that; at least via email I have a record of all correspondance.

T5OLF - Could you reply to this thread or PM me regarding issues with this group buy. As you know we have all been overcharged by PLR,you stated it was £20 + £10 delivery but we have all been charged £33.01

PLR have said that they quoted you £20 + vat and then £15 delivery for 10 items

Also, any update when the brackets should arrive ? I paid for mine on Feb 27th ?

i have been following this thread, mainly for a bracket as i have a carbon extingusher but i feel i must pass some remarks onto what can only be described as a detritus. T5OLF tried to do you guys a favour by getting a group buy on the go. over the phone he was a quoted price including delivery. now whether or not he should have clarified the break down and asked for comfirmation by e-mail is easy to say in hind sight but would any of you lot done it? i know i wouldnt have thot too, though if your going to take on a GB maybe these are the skills you should have. Bar the guy who got charged for 2 and only recieved one, i dont know how the rest of you can be so **** over £3!! i take on board that if he over charged 20 people by £3 then that is a cool £60 earned for SFA but to go on and on over it, get a grip. out of all the people whom which have participated in this group buy and recieved their items are actually unhappy or have a problem? you all only made a £2 buck saving in the first place so did that not tell you a little something about the company you are dealing with?!
in princple you all have a case as £3 in your own pocket is better than someone else's but i dont believe for a second this guy has set out to master mind a plan to swindle £3.01 out of everyone and its simply a case of a good guy trying to do his fellow forum members a favour and a small error in communication over the phone.
tell me to **** off as i'm not involved if you want btw just tryin to play devils advocate

I agree. IMHO it is not worth the hassle to fight over the £3, which is why I haven't commented until now. What I will say though, is based on the attitude shown by PLR, I won't be giving them any business in future.

BTW, thanks to T5OLF for arranging this, your effort is still appreciated.

JonMc, I hope you get yours sorted too!

It's now with trading standards so I'll wait and see. Regardless of what is said the only email I have seen that stated +VAT was generated after I received the order. Despite my request I have not seen a copy of the email that he claims to have sent to Andrew before hand stating that. My biggest gripe wasn't the price, although it was a surprise, it was the fact that I ordered and paid for 2 and only got 1.

Found this ...any use?

2 litre foam fire extinguisher - 2 ltr AFFF fire extinguishers

Free delivery ...but works out £1.60 more than Peter Lloyd, so not sure if it's worth it

They have a 110% low price guarantee though so it should not be any dearer

It's £31.60 incl vat and free delivery so that's actually cheaper than what we paid from Peter Lloyd Rallying in this group buy
