MY01 PPP Down on Power?
I think 1.4 bar is way too high IF THE GAUGE IS ACCURATE - it is 20.3 PSI. This is in my opinion too far off the compressor map's best efficiency to be safe. But I have been wrong before

Keep on at your dealer!!, had the restrictor changed last week and the new ECU fitted this morning, boost according to my defi gauge has gone from 1.0 to 1.3, plus the select monitor showed the difference.
This proves that there are faulty PPP instalations/ECU's but my dealer as stated before has been very helpfull and now got it sorted.

I would say so Anthony. 1.4 bar is high if your gauge is accurate, but I have not fiddled with MY01 PPP only MY00, and the MY01 PPP is only supposed to make 3lbft extra (261 vs 258), but I suppose it has an extra cat, but 3 PSI more peak boost sounds A LOT. Whatever, I don't like where that is on the compressor map, however, if it is just a peak and there is not det then I suppose it is not so much of an issue. If a MY00 PPP reached that it would oscillate all over the place.
Well I picked the car up on Saturday. Apparently there was a split pipe, not sure where at the moment, but they said the Boost was a little eratic and that it was now boosting consistantly at 1.2bar. (Need to speak to the Mechanic who fixed it, Dave - Good Guy).
They used a very accurate Boost Gauge, and I asked why not higher tyhan 1.2 bar. Apparently Prodrive have told them this is spot on for a PPP car, and that any higer and the ECU over fuels reducing power??
Can't say I can notice much so far. It did feel a little better at 3.5k to 4.5k rpm, but I can't be sure at the moment. I'll wait until I have driven over some familiar roads before deciding.
The question is, do I take it back to JN's and get it on the rolling road? Thoughts?

Steve,
Mine does seem quicker now. Seems to have taken a couple of weeks to settle down. Mine is peaking at 1.2bar I'm told, (still haven't got a gauge). I'm surprised you say yours is no quicker than a standard PPP, must be the driver.
1.2 bar I'm told is correct for a PPP'd car. Prodrive say anymore and the ECU over fuels losing power. If you're not happy though complain, and yes get Prodrive involved. My dealer did.
I guess the only way to prove it is back on the RR.
Cheers
