Xenon 2 for the win, but i guess it kinda cheats as it was done as stated by Bomb the bass (And not some computer geeks) as the double A side to Don't Make Me Wait (Quality tune incase you haven't heard it)

The Pysgnosis Bird/Eagle game music stands out as it hits you in the face having a real piano sound (obviously sampled, but back in the day sounded cool)

Edited to say, it was possibly an owl

Ah Double Dragon on my Amstrad CPC464 playing with my bro of course. Complete the game beating all the bad guys then have to fight each other to win the girl - always ended up in arguments that one

There was a game called Loco or something like that

It was a train where you had to kill stuff with puffs of smoke, quality soundtrack though sort of classical music IIRC
