Not sure you can snap their necks easily , by hand. you are meant to use a broom for geese to ask as a pivot/focus.
Or jab them in the necks (jugular/carotid) with a knife.
Or blow their heads off with a gun! (though H&S say not to be holding it at the time.........)

Put a noose around it's neck, tie the other end to your bed, slit it's stomach and throw it out the window!
Dont forget to ask it 'Bowels in or bowels out?' first!

Sara, I loved your suggestion of taking it to the vets for euthanasia, I had visions of your family all sat round stone dead after Christmas dinner having injested euthanised turkey still dripping with Sodium Pentathol (or whatever they use), mmmmm
Or going to get it and then returning its ashes in an urn
Then realising that they had billed you £168.50 for the euthansia, cremation and urn.
I could do it, no problem, lump of wood, nice sharp axe and lop its head off

Take a lump of 2x2 or baseball bat and give it a good smack on the back of its head. When its stopped flicking about hang it up by its feet and slit its throat catching the blood in a bucket. Its also best to pluck them when there fresh for two reasons, the feathers come out easier and they keeps your hands warm on a freezing decembers day.

Kindest way to kill anything is by removing oxygen (only) from the air that it breathes. It then just slowly and painlessly shuts down - so it aint a silly idea. FAR less violent and terrifying than what happens at the moment.
Maybe Obama will make this kinder process law
- certainly would make a steak more enjoyable than electrocution, winching it up by a hind leg and slitting its throat (hoping the electrocution was and remains effective as it bleeds the life out overmany minutes). For Halal, add extra necessary terror and so this fully conscious haemorrage only termination for meat should be avoided in my book.
Good luck with the dinner - its a fact of life, just make sure its as kind as it can be all the way.
