Default who do i get to kill my turkey?

i am getting some chickens (for the eggs)in the spring and fancied the idea of getting a turkey and eating it at xmas. the only thing is, who do i get to kill it for me?

don't say its easy to kill a turkey yourself because i want it done painlessly and properly, would i take it to the vets?

its just an idea at this stage, i don't know if its practical growing a turkey yourself

My mate had an idea years ago. Buy some baby Turkeys, fatten them up and sell them for Christmas dinners.

Got to the slaughtering time. Paid a Farmer to kill and pluck them. Only the Farmer insisted he helped. Killing a Turkey made him have a funny turn.

He's never eaten Turkey for years. Poof.

Snap it's neck!
You go to a vets and it might cost a fortune

You might be able to get a butcher to do it all for you for a small price?

my boyfriend would do it but i wouldnt let him in case it went wrong, i would never be able to look at him or a turkey again

Yeah, CO2/CO can be used as far as I know, but you'd need the right set-up, they use that method alot at the EFRA VLA on small animals.
Might as well have it's neck snapped, it's perfectly humane if done correctly.

If it's done wrong you just fcup up the birds neck and have to quickly do it again properly.

Idea! Get Katie Perry to stab it up, apparently her and her pics are a real danger to the community

its a shame that they dont have featherless types, then you could just put it in the oven and till its roasted without having to kill it first. bit like lobsters
