I always mission it to a part of the car park that has few cars knocking around (much to the dismay of my girlfriend).
If I can see another scoob I will go next to it, because for some reason, and I know this makes me borderline mental, It feels like my car will have someone to talk to while im in the shop, And as they are both scoobs they wont have a language barrier.

And I cannot believe the army of people who think it is acceptable to open their doors onto other peoples cars or bash shopping trolleys into them.
Once "joe public" starts showing respect for my property then I'll start respecting "joe public" and use only a single space!

It's not normally a problem but if the carpark is full, I feel I should be able to use a space and someone else not use 2 spaces.
Unfortunately, I've got a better, larger daily driver now. So I adopt the same irrational pickiness about parking away from the shop doors and other cars, drivers as possible.

Something similar happened yesterday to me when I went to Asda. Natalie needed some Sucacrem, so went to Lloyds chemist @ Asda. Parked up and was walking to the main entrance. Was a mature lady (50's) nattering to her mate in the obligatory badly parked Kia 4x4. Anyways lady pulled out and her mate got in, but only after pushing the trolley out the way of the back of the Kia and into the way of oncoming traffic. Thought "fair enough, she'll move it after". Did she ****. Just left it there. So I made it my duty to knock on the window while the car was inching forward. Driver wasn't too impressed when I slapped my hand on the bonnet (slap not punch) and refused to move Old bint (not the driver) then actually got out and moved the trolley into a more convenient place
Walked into Asdas where the old trolley guy (easily in late 60's) had been watching. "Bloody mare has done that before" he said. He then shook my hand and thanked me.
Red mist desinded then and I bought bloody Sudacrem.
I'm an arsehole when I wanna be, but it worked, even though I shouldn't have slapped the Kia's bonnet.

this thread is SO true!!
I also have a related story!
I was out shopping one day, about a year ago, & I had desided to take my Peugeot instead of the Scoob, just by chance!!
anyway, I came out of the shop & it was very windy, & as i came up to the car, I noticed a very nice Jag beside me, & a Scoob beside it. as i was getting in to the car, my handbag fell and a gust of wind blew my door wide open and left a huge dent in the Jags door, & set da alarm off, so ofcourse I left a note with my number on it & drove off with a red face but no one ever rang me but thank goodness it wasnt the Scoob.
I look for spaces at the end or next to wall etc. not near bushes though got a few scratches that way too!
I now make everyone get out of my car before I park so they dont dent it getting out, maybe thats why no-one will get in the car with me when am going shopping

Yeah I was in morrisons car park when some bint was letting her mate out the car and just opened her door quite hard into mine.
She didnt even look over or think about apologising.
I was raging but didnt say anything- some people just dont learn.
As someone else said, problem is that with selfish human instinct in place people who dont care about their car with not give a **** about any other car.
me, me, me.................and does anybody notice the trend that itr seems to be all women??
