Some black silicon bathroom sealant from B&Q. The tube stuff that goes in the gun. I lathered the light units and then screwed them in.

Cars been outside in a week of rain and everthings bone dry mate.

I knew Daz would take it well, otherwise I would not have altered his image to make him appear more attractive

Been to pick up the Front Mounted turbo pipework tonight. Not Cheap (i've got £50 change from what I sold the RCM stuff for) but the quality is just as good.

Looks well used at the moment but when I get it all ceramic coated it will look mint

As you can see the exhaust is short. This will exit on the drivers side front bumper just in front of the front wheel.

Cheers Chaps,

Car will be for road use. If I have any bother with exhaust location and the BiB then I'll just have a pipe made that will follow the OEM route.

this is a suprise and your puttin this on the road how you going to afford fuel it will be insanely high mpg wont it where did you source that kit from? you have seen my car, the blue spec for time attack next year, as you know im having my engine built around a rotated turbo setup, now i am seeing more and more people turn to the fm turbo conversion in the past 12 months and i have to ask why? is this application better suited to strip cars rather than track (eclu zex)
fair play to you this will be one crazy car

Just quicker spool up from the bigger turbos. Also with the shorter exit for the gasses from the turbo speeds things up a bit too. Plus it will look fecking hardcore!! LOL

I think mine will be the smallest front mount turbo judging by current cars and ones that I know are planned. 550-600bhp has always been my aim I want it to spool quickly too. So with a GT35R with 0.63 housing, 2.5 engine and worked AVCS heads on a classic it should be quite lairy

I've been meaning to do this next job for ages however I've either not been arsed or the weather has been sh*t so I today I finally started.

With the car being an import it has no underseal whatsoever so this needed sorting.

I'm not going to slap on a load of waxoyl. I've taken the rear subframe, diff cradle, and fuel tank off the back of the car. I will also be taking the front crossmember off too.

With everything stripped off the car, it was all cleaned off with a wire brush and the protection began. Non of the seams had been sealed so I've managed to do that today. The next step is to stonechip spray the whole underside of the car and then go over that with a base coat white and then lacquer it off afterwards. Then the subframes etc are going to the powder coaters.

Pictures of progress so far.

Finally a picture of where all this happens.
The only pic I have of both my cars together.

Yes I know the Ivy needs cutting but it's surrounded by wasps so will be done in a month or two lol

Brilliant. I've always wanted to do this. Was it hard getting the subframe etc off?
