No problems in the last 15 months, apart from eating the std. clutch....

Harness bars = nightmare. fitted a new exhaust to the 318 ready for mot and sale but a few bits came this week.

Ghetto ebay mod up first, from autobahn clearance dept. £35 bargain

It also needed a vacuum... so along came..

Whats this for i hear you say?

well...its for this...

Always wanted a cold air intake for my impreza however us classic guys have no choice to my understanding for this when running a fmic unless you DIY. so in true rudeboy style, with a bit of inspiration from Daone with his filter in the inner wing...

welllll its still early days yet

Gotta figure out how to bend 3' alu pipe yet

then Andy's been working on this for his...

I now want a kit car with a turbo zoomeroid lump in..turbobusa

Car is looking really good sorry meant to say that in the above post.
The only reason I mentioned it is because I asked Andy the question a few weeks back as I have always used the paper filters without any issues, but I have a metal filter that I was going to use and Andy explained that he had seen problems with them before but not with the paper ones. It may have been a one off but I wasnt prepared to take the chance so replaced the filter with a new paper one.

Won't matter if you have a pressure gauge fitted, as any reduction in flow will cause the supply pressure to drop....

IMHO

dunx

P.S. Time I checked mine !

dunx, poifect. iv got a pressure gauge for fueling to keep an eye on things.

trails - cage isnt mine mate its andyh's, gonna be removable i think..its a pain gettin it in and weve not even got the rear bars on yet haha! theyre gonna go to the rear struts overhead so still allowing passengers...in theory. If i go caged il be having a cusco bolt in with a custom harness bar on but i dont wana add anymore weight yet.

Arch, i changed virtually every element of my fuel system in 2007 when we had lean running issues, only thing i didnt change was the fuel lines (-6 braided lines throughout). Last thing to change was the paper filters, and it cured the problem there and then.

Never had an issue there after, except for the odd occasion on the dyno of fuel pressure dropping, which was down to several runs on the dyno whilst on empty, and the fuel swirl pot being very hot to touch. So heat was the problem, as the next day on track, FP was spot on!

It may have been a one off that Andy experienced but he did say that he had issues with the metal filter blocking and that he uses the paper elements Never had an issue with the paper ones so far but I do change them often and I am not flowing anything like the fuel you guys are but I would like to as soon as possible Think its definately one of those scenarios where one mans sugar is another mans sh**e so to speak
