Project Slow-by *progress - 15/06*
A'up im jon, 21 from Howden!
I purchased my turbo 2000 last july with a few basic mods, my mate andy had a type RA and i loved it, so soon as i got rid of my astra coupa i searched for 3months and found the scoob i wanted! Obviously insurance is killer but soo worth it!
Hks induction kit
Magnex turbo back 2.5'
HKS FCD
HKS AFR controller
remap by prosport stockport running 1.2 bar
It had done 48k and was very well looked after, with a folder of reciepts for stuff! First mod was to take the tints out
looking so much better, Not quite sure what i was thinking but i decided to paint the rims gloss black..
Anyway...one night iw as parked in a pub car park in town and someone decided to run a 2p down both my drivers doors..yeah nice one
November last year i put the car in my grans garage for winter and started to mod away whilst i bought myself a nova to run about in..most of my pics of on my home pc so il upload what progress pics i do have shortly and this thread will start to make sense! but anyway the cars still in the garage and has changed a lot! iv spent a lot on her and im hoping to do scooby shootout and lots of shows next season...
will update more in the morning!

Next came a Jun grill
Then some nice wheels arrived with some Depos and a HID Kit
Next followed this badboy -Hybrid
A GENUINE v6 Spoiler
New rear bumper fitting with STI rears
Strut braces back + front + tein bonnet dampers
Lowered on ohlins shocks + whiteline springs brand new of course and an exhaust swap 2.5' turbo back for 3'
Sti fog covers + genuine sti 6 lip spoiler on front, Depos fully fitted + HIDS in place
That was it up to June 1st. running two cars and modding both isnt easy on my wages.
An Apexi power intake was snapped up from ebay, + other small bits which iv probably forgotten about..sti battery clamp..y'know the small bits that make all the difference!
K-sport's were next, along with a walbro 255..at some point a flamer kits made its way into my boot also
*edited due to pics screwing up!*

Pretty happy with the bodywork at this point although the skirts are still sat in my back yard! Along came 2 gauge pods and 5 lovely prosport gauges c/o Danny @ Xyber - big up mate
Hopefully fitting them this weekend, and awaiting delivery of my k-sport rear brakes! Theres also an Apexi PFC sat on the shelf with this badboy
Vf34 covered approx 6k - thinking of sending this off to get ceramic coated?
Updates to follow..its been a year theres bound to be stuff iv forgot!

They will operate either way, but they will be far from optimal the way you have them. The curved vanes are designed to expell hot air as they rotate forward using centrifugal force, they do this by the vanes curving towards the back of the car.
The other way round they will work, but have a bit of a hard baking session and they may well overheat the discs.

Only just come accross this thread. Car is looking good. Glad the HIDs and FMIC were well received.
RE the brakes: Grooves and vanes are different things.
KSports are straight vaned iirc and therefore look correctly fitted in the pics. The grooves (as fitted) will draw the dust/debris away from the centre that way.
