As a new scooby owner, I know I am no boy racer, I suppose it depends on what you do to your car, do you give it a big cherry bomb exhaust and have a massive stereo in and drive round the local halfords car park and 'cruise'.

Or do you prefer taking your car out into the country for some top quality roads enjoying what a subaru does best. OR better yet, take it to rallies (proper ones in the forest I mean) and use it the way a scooby was meant to be used.

A schoolboy error often made by n00bs.
You car is about as close a relation to the rally car as Stephen Hawking is to Daley Thompson.

I don't see the problem in admitting Imprezas are chav, but people always seem to get mighty defensive over it.

I'm hardly a noob when it comes to rallying peanuts. Having spent the last 8 years around the rallying scene, I know there is a vast differance between the current WRC and the current Road cars, but that doesn't mean that technology isn't passed from the WRC to the Group N (PWRC) then on to the road car. Not only that, Subaru/Mitsubishi are the only 2 companies that produce a good 4wd car worth rallying road or forest. So why not use it as it was meant to be?? Don't forget Group N uses an awful lot of road car parts on it due to the technical regs (brakes, quite a few engine bits etc)

And you'd be surprised what a bit of talent, some good mechanical knowledge and a non turbo impreza can do in the right hands on a road rally. I've seen some impressive skill. I remeber one guy in wales having a white one with huge lightforce lights on it, cracking driver (can't remeber his name).

In my opinion i think your misses is throwing a wobbly as she isfeeling threatened by the scooby and lashing out by throwing some harsh words about as if the scooby was the local village bike. should sit her down and explain to here that your scooby wont just let anyone have a ride
