broken into last nite!
1st time in 21months of me having the scooby doo

i expected it one day!!!!
can out this morning to see my door part open! saw the bust lock! then i opened the door!!!!!!!
setting the alarm off!!!
hence then not being able to see if the alarm when off when they got in!(3 cherps instead of 2 if it has been triggered)!!!!!, nothing taken, everything still there!!?

i leave no valubles in it! no radio's etc Radar detectors!!!!

so they had a waisted effort!!!!!!
now i'm driving with a bust lock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

think i will leave it as it is.....thers no body/paint work damage!!!!!!!!

coppers said to me on the phone..
"what wheels have you got"?
i said....
"i think they would hav wanted the car, not the alloys!"
Bar-stewards!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its just mindless vandalism, i take it you have a clifford, if so does it have parimeter protection?? if, like mine it does then that may have scared them away, trouble is that the damage was already done
I doubt if they would have even been able to take her, but the worst part is they attempted it

a cliford??????? is that a name of a 'big dog with sharp teeth'????? lol
no i haven't
just a Microscan!!!!!

i'm having craigamongos add some more stuff to it this week!! a bit late i know!!
thinking of a 'pager' on it as well to notify me when i'm in bed, as i can't her the alarm in my room unless the windows open and i'm not in a deeeeeppp sleeeeppp lol.

we will see.

think i will leave the lock as it is bust! might stop them doing it again!? yes?
+ cost wise....save having a claim on insurance 4 now!

Phil,

don't forget the basic "baby alarm" technique, as mentioned "somewhere". Put the monitor in the car, and the speaker within earshot and - no longer _silent_ slippery car nicking b*stards.

Exclamation

Phil,

I had the very same thing happen to me some time ago. Have you priced up a new lock yet , I got a replacement from grade A near Stockport/Buxton and then took the lock to a locksmith who matched it to my key, I also had to replace the latch mechanism as well as this had been damaged. Total cost £35 including fitting.

My Subaru dealer tried to tell me that I would need new locks all round.

Cheers

Salsa-king (if that is your real name ), if you could let me know any details you get on the pager.
Im in a similar position of battling to hear the alarm, and I would like to get a pager.
I have the Honda Cat1 Alarm/Immob, so hopefully they are not manufacturer dependant.
Thanks
Gray
PS: codolenses on the car, at least the little ****s didnt manage to actually knick it, though I do know how inconvenient and stressful it is to have your car damamged like that. Hope you get it sorted.

Phil (salsa-king) is having the pager fitted by craigamungus who posts on this board and is a modified sti owner. Craig is also fitting me a full cat1 system and I'm thinking about the pager.

You can mail Craig on craigfinney@ntlworld.com

thanks Lee, saved me saying all that!!!

yes Craigamungos is fitting me in tomorrow afternoon!
he knows his stuff!!!! think i could spend loads with him.
Craig is coming to Oulton on Saturday with lee and myself! and audiodave.

Think the pager will be some help.

Question!
do you think they were after the car????
as they normally just break the glass and lean in to stell stuff!!!! don't they!
a bust lock would leave the car in a condition so they could then 'joyride' it without havin v. cold wind rushing in from a smashed out window!!!!
