I didn't think I'd be the only one, lol.
Now that would of been great, it would have easily paid for the bill.

Thanks Fai.

I am glad too, that Daz changed the colour of his car.

When it was "Pimp Purple" it became awkward when Daz & his Dog attended events dressed accordingly

There was a fair bit of modification to front of chassis, and bumper beam reinforcement mods.
Also mods to the splitter.

PS. Rolf Harris sucks

behave yourself dave. £1600 for a set of verniers. ok i will agree a helluva lot cheaper than a new engine but there has to be some middle ground. this will be my first set, now having new cylinder heads and a new set of cams, so could you guys who have used verniers for a while now give me a steer on a middle of the road set. i don't want to spend an arm and a leg here.

Am taking part in the MLR 500 in two weeks (22nd Aug) with 4 mates from the Kent Scoobies

Ran by the Evo boy's for several years but I believe this is a first time they have invited any Scooby clubs. 3 other Scooby cars I believe and I think a total of 30 teams.

Basically you need to buy a Mitsubishi at least ten yrs old. The cost of the car and to race prepare it must not exceed £ 500.

Gravel & grass track and last year they completed over 400 laps.

Many will be Colts but we found this Gallant (4 wheel drive & 4 wheel steer)
starts every time and paid £ 190 !

Race is at Elvington so support from you local guys will be good
Daz, Madhammer, SteveBT etc.

You are on about the titanium ones
Roger Clark Motorsport - RCM Product Detail

I have had kent ones, and seen too many crack, they cost £400~£500

I currently have thses one my engine, and worth every penny!
Roger Clark Motorsport - RCM Product Detail

Same quality, just minus the expensive titanium!

So far,

New brake pads.
Patched up some wing holes (corroded)
Plated former sun roof.
Wired up high level brake lights.
Wheels like new again but gold
All oils drained and replaced

We think a large water bottle, pump, and plumbing a pre drilled pipe across the bottom of windscreen & dash switch may prove good if a wet race. Basically a Warp Factor 7 window wash.

Tyres are next on the menu for gravel/ grass.

Race seat and 3 p/h going in next week.

One of the guys is getting a wrap done of an overhead shot of my engine.
It will be wrapped over the entire bonnet hopefully producing an effect of "no bonnet"

If anyone wants the car after the race your welcome
We wont want it.

You're telling fibs mate. Your good lady has just sent me a picture of the finished car.

You're even looking on it with a sense of pride in the white overalls.

Might be up for this Clive as my son is doing the China Rally Christmas 2010
It has to be free and able to make it, after a bit of work.

Had my first run out at the pod yesterday since I had Solaris fitted. First two runs experimenting with the LC 11.3 @ 128 and only 1.8 60ft, then 11.2 @ 129 with 1.75 60ft. So turned up the LC another notch, cracking launch and broken front shaft !

Got the car to Zen as I am going over Thursday anyway for flat shift to be fitted and minor tweaks to the maps. Seems even though I had thought I had sorted my poor spool between gear changes there is still an issue. Hopefully flat shift will negate that issue on the strip once fitted.

So spent yesteday afternoon pulling front shafts off a car I am breaking to take with me Thursday.

One day this car 'will' do tens !

Bet you were gutted breaking again Clive .

I reckon you need to buy the same as Marti has mate. (same as the Gobstopper) to eliminate the worry. About a grand each I think.

Big hurdle to get in the 10's looking at it mate.
