Did i? I remember telling you the 11m arp's that were in there before, were stretched and good for the bin according to chy, so we ordered some new 11mm arps. Thats whats in there, and whats on your invoice from Mark

You're head gaskets are Cometic.

Rest assured, when its pulled apart again, its having 14mm studs put in!

It was on a page where I was mentioning that I couldn't use NOS due to only having 11mm studs and you said they weren't as you fitted them

Nice one steven looking forward to when its backagain

So the additional expense for the 14mm conversion is worth it then?

Rumour has it that skull has thrown in the towel with drag racing cars.
Someone sneaked a picture of him today trying his luck on a bike.

Great weekend at The MLR500.

We qualified in 3rd and at 125 laps we were in 1st place then we lost our clutch

The track was either VERY dusty to the point you could not see anything in front of you (still flat out), and when they sprayed the track with water to minimize the dust the windscreen became a mud bath.

Brilliant fun and well done to all the team and the MLR for a very well organised event.

Nice to see Daz DaviEs at the event

Bless her.

Drove back down to Bedford, found hotel then spent all Sunday at Santa Pod.

Unlucky Madhammer, (bloody drive shafts). Should be good when you get the stronger ones Clive

My wife was board stiff blasting SleeperSy's little baby down the strip all day

12.152 @ 120mph ! (Sy's in the 11's)

Nice one mate. Hev & Co were really made up with that

Daz, shut up you old tart, and as for the steam roller thingy (Yuck Foo)

These are the stats of modifications within the P1 Owners Club
It would prove fair judgment to assume the stats would probably cover Impreza owners as a whole.

BHP - 500+ 1%
BHP - 475 - 499 0%
BHP - 425 - 449 1%
BHP - 400 - 424 6%
BHP - 375 - 399 5%
BHP - 350 - 374 5%
BHP - 325 - 349 22%
BHP - 300 - 324 20%
BHP - 275 - 299 (or below) 33%

The above stats would suggest that most folk regard 350Bhp to be more than enough power for the road and may be the occasional track day.

Only 12% raise the power levels to a max of 450Bhp.

Many regular fella's in this thread (including you) make up a big chunk of the
"Something missing between the ears" 1% department

Frustration of waiting syndrome. Been there, done it, worth it.

Well done to Fudge and co in the MLR 500, shame about that clutch.

Yet again a broken shaft on my car is frustrating. Had a good chat with Mikee after about how the tyres I have been using contribute heavily to broken shafts. The last 2 times I have tried the pod though have been very sticky on the start.

TRAX event. Silverstone: Sunday 6th September.

Just found out that my P1 will be on the Spec-R stand at Trax in two weeks.

Guess who's stand is next door ? Ken Block !!

They are flying him in from the States. He is doing a 100 foot jump in his Impreza together with driving demos. Should be a good one.

Here we go a vid from Scoobysprint yesterday, not a great result yesterday but track did not really suit a big turbo car -

And after waiting 2 hours in to get on the strip another broken shaft

Was good to catch up with a few people yesterday, thanks to those who helped push the car whilst queing up for each run in Scoobysprint. You all know who you are

Just popped the replacement in so ready to go again I hear what your saying about shafts but softer side walled tyres may help so I have been told.

If you meant it looked very difficult and required a car that was well set-up, with very good response and a driver that could really drive a tight handling circuit to do well.... then yes I would agree with you.

Shaun,

Don't get me wrong it was good but they were restricted in what they could give us with the room they had to work with. I can't say it was great though, stick the car in second gear and leave it there ! We have had far more of a challenge up north which I am sure you would agree with ?

Clive,
Depends what you mean by challenge mate.... I thought the course was very difficult, more so than any previous layout, as it was very technical in at the top, but it did not mean I did not enjoy it any the less. It's good to have a totally different challenge, as it certainly gave the lower powered cars much more of a fighting chance. See how well Big Fud did, to name but one.

It was certainly no power circuit and after speaking to Simon he said even mine running on low boost was wasted power..... he suggested the course was better suited to smaller turbo engines.

Don't worry Clive... ScoobyLive will be much more power based than Round 4, similar to previous ScoobyLive layouts. You did well on previous layouts so I am sure you will be back "on it" in the final!

I've got one of them on my dashboard when I do the ScoobySprint stuff! I have to turn it over three times before I finish a lap.

I would class yourself extremely lucky that I have needed to spend several hours every evening using my photoshop knowledge on work related issues.
