Project P1 600bhp +
Light is right
OZ Ultraleggaras (7.5kg for 17")or rotas (7.7kg I think) as per Dynamix TA car in his project thread although you couldn't run as wide as them obviously.
I have the P1wrcs, OZ superleggara, and Speedline GT1s
My OZ are noticeably far lighter than the other two just to carry around and so are the ones that live on the car all the time - (slicks on Speedlines and inters on p1 wheels)

Blimey, they are nice but you pay for the weight with those !
Clive,
You going to be new turbo'd for Sunday ?
I don't think so Hammer (mate, I'll carry on calling you Hammer, it's less confusing)
)They have said that they will make sure the car is ready either way.
Waiting for fabrication bits, wing box and silicone hoses.
Matt said he will ring me mid week to advise.

mmmm they do look nice though
Here is a clip of Simon Norris in the Bogey setting a 30-130 mph time don't know whether it's Marham or not, it would be good to see a few Subaru's running close to Simon's time of 6.19 seconds on Sunday.

Andy Forrest... yep very fast
Were the two RC Development cars sold ?? or sold in bits ?
I was beside AF's car at Prodrives test track on the Colin Mcrae day, however he did not run it. It did sound pretty awesome though (putting in on his trailer).
My car did not end up in the spelling of Colin Mcrae's name as RCM were taking my car back with them from the event. If I had parked it with the rest of them it would have taken Mark (RCM) 3 hours to get out.
Ended up parking near their stand to make it easier for them.
If any of you were up there you would know what I am talking about!.
Great day though and would not have missed it for anything.

What does the Norris Evo do the quarter in? anyone know?.
RCM / Ice / Andy F and any other Scoobs running low 9's over the quarter must be heading for a 6 at the 30-130 surely ?
Would be great to see a Scoob running in the 6's. This could be the beginning of something good !! (annual rivalry).

Andy Forrest has a best 1/4 mile time of 9.16 @ 159mph and more impressive a 0-128mph time of 5.9 second at York raceway. So depending if Andy has the car setup correctly and wind conditions aren't an issue we should see a sub 6 seconds time. I believe Andy is running around 950 bhp from a 2.4 litre fitted with a massive Garrett GT42 turbo.
Olly Clark (RCM), Gulli Halldorsson (Team Ice), Andy Forrest (AFP), Steve Guirey (SGM) and Paul Blamire (Zen) are the only Scoobs running low nines, Mark's (Lateral Peformance) car has run a best time of 10.3 seconds. So the possibility this car could join the 9 second club soon.
Quickest UK Subaru 1/4 mile times :-
Andy Forrest (AFP) 9.16s @ 159 mph at York raceway 2007
Olly Clark (RCM) 9.23s @ 148 mph at TOTB 7 2008
Steve Guirey (SGM) 9.37s @ 151mph at Avon park 2007
Paul Blamire (Zen) 9.79s @ 146.9 mph at Santa pod 2006
Gulli Halldorsson (Ice) 9.85s @ 143mph at TOTB 7 2008

I said to Olly that I would only be doing the event if my car was set up with new turbo. RCM did say they would have it ready with the old set up.
It would have been a lot of mucking about for me to get the car then go to Marham, then return it before heading home.
Should be done soon now.
How did you get on ? bit windy & wet by what I hear ?

Hi Clive
PMed you last night and gave a brief run down. Clive/Mad was going well despite the tempest, and Sy was feeling his way in gingerly in his 2 mile old car before he got a 4 inch screw in his tyres just before lunch. My old car was, as expected, not the quickest with the close ratio JDM sti 6speed/3.9 diffs meaning I was though all my gear changes before 130 (with others making at least one less gear change)and on the rev limiter in 6th around halfway down the runway. I think my ratios will be good for a track and the 4 year old engine held up well - a credit to RCM.
I left at lunch time (as did Sy) and headed off back to the in laws as the weather was just going from bad to worse and they only live 20 miles away so the prospect of a full sunday roast versus a sunday freeze was suddenly very appealing
The rain/hail/sleet did disappear briefly mid afternoon but it was still blowing a gale so I didn't bother going back.

I was more than pleased with my figures given the wind. I done three more runs in the afternoon and all were on par with the mornings even though I was getting wheelspin on the wet airfield in 2nd and 3rd gear
My top speed run was okay too but I did lose my bottle tbh when I was noticed the bonnet vent lifting ! So I backed out of it, however the car was still pulling strong at 168 !
