Six - seven page feature so we were informed today.

Over 500 pics taken.

Thanks to Dazzler for coming with me and keeping it looking nice

This is how the car arrived for the shoot & when I got home !
Had more fly's than SleeperSy's pants !

Got 2 huge stone chips on the bonnet from RCM's to there new premises for the shoot 15 mins away

Hope you have this cleaned now Clive, shocking

Thanks mate, yes there is. I am putting the issue down boost problems now, it just will not hit peak boost quick enough with quick changes on the strip (fine on the road) Solaris will solve that problem when it goes in though

Yep, that's it now. I said previously I would not strip totally but being picked for TOTB has changed that view, even the radio is coming out

It's off to Zen next Monday for the week to have Solaris fitted and mapped too, so LC, AL and flat shift for TOTB !

rear ones are screwed shut
front ones , oem guides at top of door with two m6 bolts through them and a long m8 bolt to adjust the angle of the window so that they stay in place at high speeds

What would that 4 degrees of timing equate to Steve?

Me too Fai. The photographer looked handy and knew his stuff.
Was a long day and didn't leave RCM until 6:45pm but it was interesting.

I am not sure how they will edit the feature. It's pretty much two P1's with very similar engines, with Marti's stripped out and purely used for drag racing against a street car with similar spec.
I have been told the October issue will be available within the last days of August.

How is your beast coming on mate ?

CJ RCM have not moved into their new unit yet. Some bits & pieces to do first. They are hoping to be in there within the next couple of months.

Bet you cant wait for the new engine CJ .
What spec are you going up to matey ?

My head gasket went a few weeks back and the service I had from RCM was 110% they really looked after me (more than I can say for Subaru) made me decided to get the work done as one big job rather than the stages and dramas that I had planned for.

500bhp is the goal but the final spec is going to be sorted in December going to sit down with olly and figure it out. are you glad you went with the 2l rather than 2.5l? Is your 6 speed a standard box/ uk or jap ?

It could be something like 30bhp??? I have just found out today that paul didn't pull the timing as it was the ecu doing it It may only be 4bhp more but its a TOTALLY different car now. I had never noticed it before but since its new tweak my suspension seems very poor and it looks like I need to upgrade this to help the car cope with the power. Had to back off at 4000rpm in low gears yesterday on the country roads as its was getting a bit mental

Cool, nice car

If you are going for a 500Bhp it will be similar to mine CJ. RCM will build your motor to withstand a lot more than 500 I guess .

A genuine 500+ is really quick in an Impreza.
Many of my mates have said to me "if you come around my house mate I will pretend I am out"

They not like

Yes, really glad it's a 2.0 opposed to a 2.5.

A 2.5 obviously has more torque but you gain much weight.
I drove my mates 2.5, running just over 400 and it boosted well quick & with the torque was good at lower rpm, but seemed to run out of power quicker.

My 2.0 pulls hard from 4K up to 8K. At 4K my boost gauge will go from zero - 2.1 bar in less that one second. The rate of acceleration in 4th,5th & 6th is awesome. Doing 102mph in 6th is at the point of boosting and if I floor it the car is doing 150 in no time at all.

Gearbox I think is UK?

I was doing 90mph in mine on saturday and I needed to overtake someone quickly so I put my foot down in 6th gear and I would estimate in about 2 seconds I was doing 120mph
