RCM offer a hand-cutting service for R888's - presumably to aid with standing water dispersal. Does anyone have these modified ones fitted... and do they help with wet traction, etc.?

Had no time to play yet as was raining when I drove back. No numbers as not been on rollers today but I do have a new high boost setting, seems quite swift

Also the new rear end looks rather good I think

If someone had had their way at Zen yesterday door cards etc would have gone No fancy tank for this year. Plenty of future plans but only so much you can do with limited time and funds. Still got to pay for my wedding ! Only 8 weeks to go !

I am puzzled.

Every time I take the car out the header tank is leaking and the antifreeze creates HUGE amount of work removing the staining from the inlet mani, ABS, header tank and ceramic coated headers.

Renewed all three clips to the three hoses, the cap is tight. Where the hell is it coming from ??????

Marty

I have just run it up and placed blue tissue under the top nozzle and I have the same problem Marti.
Sending a new header tank down.

Trouble is the anti freeze has stained the inlet manifold and nothing seems to polish it out ? did that happen with you mate and if so what did you use?.

Redline out on 27th this month. Go to page 60 and it may have a bit on our cars coming out in the following issue.
Octobers Redline is in WH Smiths from the 27th August

Had the same problem on the Kit car Clive.
I ended up just lowering the fluid level a little to accommodate the expansion.
But it is possible that you may have a pinhole in the welders.
Get a pressure test done on the C-Spec.

Hi Clive

I used Autosol from halfords in a tube on the inlet manifold ,then polish it with Magiuse fine polish.

Will have a look at redline when it comes out in a few days .
Roll on 27th August ,be good to see how the pics come out

Will keep doing it until it does.

Re: Redline, was speaking with SleeperSy who's car appeared in Redline, and he said will we receive a mag through the post accompanied by a CD with many Pro photo's

My Mrs & I have a real nice pic frame in our bedroom that contains a picture of when we were married. I will sort out the best pic of the P1, print it and swap the photo's and see what she thinks

We were second overall.

No idea on individual places. I was going well on top speed at one point with 3 runs pretty close 164/164/165. Best 1/4 was 11.1, handling I did 5 x 44's (tyres let me down there big style, will teach me to invest in proper rubber) Still, car was ultra reliable and was a great experience

I know Still first time using launch control so pretty happy. Few tweeks to come and a minor spool issue to sort and then the addition of flat shift will see easy 10's
