Project P1 600bhp +
I only know of Marti's car from off Scoobynet and though it was a 2 litre the same as yours until I read an earlier post by yourself. I was suprised it was a stroked engine as I though Matt Clark prefered to use the original 75mm stroke crank on the 2 & 2.2 litre closed deck blocks to keep a higher rod length to stroke ratio.
Is a Cosworth inlet manifold one of the things you have in mind?.
As it's difficult to find area's in which improvements could be made on your car.

As it's difficult to find area's in which improvements could be made on your car.I don't think I would gain anything from a Cosworth i/manifold Ringster.
The P1 is really quick as a road car and I am still learning the way it behaves in different conditions.
As for more power there are several options, not sure what way to go yet.
Watch this space
so you haven't reached the stage yet when you take the car out and it wasn't as quick as you remember it
I took mine on a 600 mile round trip through Wales, at the end I was starting to be able to use the power in a way you really shouldn't on a road

got home and took my run around to work - first set off i was trying to take the car out of second as im my head it felt I had put it in the wrong gear and selected 4th by mistake
.. the subaru stops being fast just everything else is slooooow

the opposite really mate. Many times I still think " muck fee this is quick".
It would be real interesting for some of us with big power to drive each others cars as a comparison. I guess they would all feel totally different as there are so many aspects.
The only thing that I have ever driven that was quicker is SleeperSy's creation.
Bit naughty, but I had a real good one with a Honda CBR 900 the other week over 7 or 8 miles. He could not keep up with me and gave the nod & thumbs up when beaten. (Dazzler was in my car at the time).
The vibes I got from the rider suggested he does not get beaten by cars very often, if ever.

If it was the new 954cc model it would product 150bhp and weighs in at 168kg power to weight ratio of 1bhp per 1.12kilo
So like for like and your weight being say 1250 kg you would need to produce 1116 bhp + your air resistance.
However bikers do get hairy at speed.
Still time for some fun then Skull.
I've done a couple of riders when me WRX was std 237bhp. Obviously the bikes couldn't have been modern day 600 to 1000+ cc ones but probably much older, tired 600cc jobs, and in both cases the riders were defo 'trying'.

The protagonists had a somewhat emasculated body language...

Nail on Head there Steve, Bikes are quicker when you have a decent rider on them.
Get a decent rider on one and you havent got a prayer.
MY best mate has a Norris Built Evo 6 (mid 600's) as well as a Ducati 916 and a Fireblade. I have another mate with a GSXR 1000 K2.
From a standing start its reasonably close but if you're doing say a 30 - 130 then the bike is visibly quicker.
You have to have something really really special to keep up with a bike and a decent rider never mind beat one.
I could go and spend £3K on a bike that will do a 10s 1/4 out of the box. We both know it costs you far more than that to achieve it in a car

I know nothing about bikes, it may of been an old model for all I know although I must say it did not look old, but to be fair I did not really look at it for too long. It was def a CBR because I was quickly scanning the thing for the model.
May of been another sort of CBR as I thought they were all 900's?
What I can assure everyone is that it was him that wanted it, and he was giving it all he had because we could hear the thing behind us.
On the floor at 150 he was tucked in tight and getting smaller & smaller in my centre mirror, & the P1 was still pulling like a train.
That is exactly what happened.
It ended because he needed the petrol garage up ahead, and that's when we slowed to about 60. The length of time he was nodding / thumbs up showed us he had respect, and he knew he was beaten fair & square by a car.
Fudge <--- would dearly love the guy to read this thread so we could hear his side of the story.

, the CBR's available were:-- the 'starter'/non-CBT 400cc 'Miniblade' (styled and proportioned like the flagship, but small and cute).
- the well-respected, ubiquitous 600cc 'all-rounder' (c.90bhp at the time)
- and of course the legendary Fireblade CBR 900RR (from memory c.120bhp at the time).
...I think
lol.I think now the Fireblade is a 1000cc or possibly an 1100cc

SKull was on his simulator - He was in his P1 racing Michael Jackson on a go-ped, around Monaco - bruce willis was in the back with an AK47 - Jordan was in the passenger seat moaning about Pete. 98 % realistic these days
SF's P1
car@c.1270kg + SF@c.70kg??? (11 stone)
= c.1340kg...
c.500bhp/c.1340kg = c.379bhp/tonne
CBR Fireblade
bike@c.168kg + rider@c.70kg = c.238kg...
c.150bhp/c.238kg = c.640bhp/tonne!!!
CBR 600(?)
bike@c.168kg(?) + rider@c.70kg = c.238kg...
c.120bhp(?)/c.238kg = c.512bhp/tonne
So most probably an older c.90bhp CBR 600...
bike@c.150kg + rider@c.70kg = c.220kg...
c.90bhp/c.220kg = c.415bhp/tonne
Q.E.D. (LOL)

Fudge <--- pissing himself at some of your posts
, why the fukc I ever mentioned anything about that bike I'll never know
I was not going to say anything and now wished I hadn't.
Davis: If it didn't happen I would not have wasted my time typing it all out

for a start sunshine its Davies with an E. Something which you must clearly be taking.
as you're obviously delusional. Come up against a proper bike and a proper rider and you'll get your *** whooped.
Besides looking at videos of your drag outings you've got alot of work to do numb nuts!!
