The company that made this is a client of mine. There engineering needs to be seen to be believed, truly awesome.

If it makes any sense, they engineer from scratch items such as

Electron Spectrometers
UHV Cluster Tools
Vacuum Components
High Energy Synchrotrons
and many Gamma related items.

When you are in the place it really does look like a setting from a bond film.
The scale of some pieces of equipment is mind blowing.

Trouble is you cant see much of the equipment being made. They are huge consealed machines with conveyor belts full off swarf coming out of them.

Very high spec.

Where are they based? Is it in a hollowed out volcano, complete with unnecessary mono-rail system and orange boiler-suited henchmen?!

No, I have nothing back. I kept phoning him and then next thing I heard was that he got p****d and smashed his car to bits. Everything he had from me was fitted on his car.

He kept promising he would pay then one day admitted he had no money, no car, wife had left him, father died, thrown out his home and many other excuses.

I did not know where he lived (somewhere over the Medway towns ?),and in our final tele conversation he told me he was not the sort of guy that rips people off, it's just that everything has gone **** up at the moment.

He had a classic import and came to my place several times in his car and did seem a genuine normal friendly guy.
Just shows that you cannot trust anyone.

My fault, I should have held the parts until he had paid for them.

It's just annoying because I have met and become friends with many many Scooby owners and I trusted him as most Scooby owners are decent guys that share that respect for each other.
