My debit card was charged at the 20% discount rate a few days ago, so hopefully they will arrive this week at some point.

Not had mine yet but a quick call at the end of last week confirmed should be anytime soon.
As of last week payment had not been taken so i'll give it another few days and see what happens.

I sent mine back weeks ago and have not had a refund, will give it until the end of the week and look to have the money refunded via my credit card company. This group buy is turning into a joke and not doing Scott Lowe any good in terms of his reputation.

No issues with the quality of the parts at all, they are excellent. I fitted them to an alloy bonnet and they are far to strong. If you lose your grip on the bonnet when opening it will fly open and closing again has to be done with real care to avoid damaging the bonnet. They are excellent items just not suited to alloy bonnets, certainly not the bonnet on my 93 RA.

Can I send my personal apologies to all those who feel that this group buy was not a success as I set up this group buy. I was after a set of bonnet dampers for my car and thought if I set up a group buy then all those interested would get a good deal as well as me. I have never used this company before so therefore didn't know the kind of customer service we would receive.

Those who have slated this group what do you expect me to do . Whats the point of whinging on here, its direct with the company is where you need to air your grievences but then again there is no pleasing some folks . I sorted out a good price (15-20% off + free P+P) and it was down to the individual to order and deal direct with the company. As previously stated I have never used the company before and therefore had no idea of the standard of the customer service.

I placed a end date on this because I was going out of the country with work and sadly hoped this would all be sorted by then . I have just got back to the UK (going away again this Sat for 3 weeks ) and like many of those who ordered I am still waiting for the dampers. The reply to an e-mail I sent today states that the items got held up at UK customs but have now cleared and will be sent out next week to all those still waiting.

I hope this clears things up.

Wolfie.

Not quite sure why you're feeling the need to apologise fella, certainly isn't your fault.

I joined the group buy having dealt with Scott before when i had to wait several months for a front splitter - so i had an idea something like this may happen. Personally i'm in no great hurry so it doesn't bother me either way. My view is if people aren't happy then call Scott and receive a refund (assuming you can get hold of him).

My general feeling of Scott Lowe are the parts are good quality at a good price - as long as you're prepared to wait.

Guys, i know Scott as I live in Barnsley and pop in with my Evo from time to time.

He's been having some personal probs and hasn't been himself for a while, I appreciate you all want your stuff but as mentioned b4, Scott is a good lad and you will get the stuff.

I have his mobile and an alternate no' for anyone who needs to get in touch with him urgently etc.

Yep no need for a apology, good price etc, the issue has been a lack of communication its not to much to ask to be updated on the progress of an order when you have handed over your credit card details. Just a shame he is not a member on here as one post, would have sorted all this out.

Any way thanks for the info really looking forward to getting them fitted.

Hi Bud, I talked to him saturday and brought it up, he said it should all be sorted by end of this week, don't quote me on that but im 99.9% positive he said that, you know what its like when you try and remember stuff lol, but I think he said that.

I think he was a little disappointed someone from down south had basically tried playing the hard man with the "I don't wanna come knocking on your door routine" though.

When you pay for something, your all right, you want it asap in reality, but I think its things thats out of his hands that have caused the delay, it wouldn't hurt to be told IMO, but Scott can be like that, still great stuff and a top bloke though.
