dccd all wired in guys and wow there are some wires
started with mounting the controller and wheel into the carbon plate i ended up covering in suede but think it looks ok so might even do a gear gator in this to match
then run wires to the places they need to go then soldered all the for a good connection, one's all done i checked and set up the controller as manual said so i have now started to strip the back shelf ready to retrim the shelf in suede
few pict from today but will look better after a clean and remove where the double tape held my turbo timer

bit of an update guys
i have set the neetronics controller and all seems to be fine
it seems when the controller was set at 10% 20% 30% the dccd felt almost locked so i have put the first 5 clicks to lower settings and the last 5 to bigger steps
feels great on the road and when you put the lock up you can really see the difference in the way it handles and drives, think it will take me awhile to get use to and what settings i prefer
i have a rolling road with Simon on the Th Feb if still going ahead and hopefully fingers crossed get some good results
i have just treated the car and spent out on some motul V oil and a new set of ngk pfr7 iridium plugs
was going to get denso one's but did not want to pay that sort of money for plugs and on short time at the moment
only thing i might do before the RR is change the inlet pipe and make up a new one as the current one is 3" reduced to 21/2" then back to 3" so was going to make it a true 3"
the pipe did not cause any problems when mapped but a true 3" can only be better i hope
hope to have E on second map of the simtek so will get some pics of the day and also some of the whole car soon
almost forgot
i have ordered new black D wheel nuts and the car is going to have a photo shoot and right up in redline mag but just waiting for them to let me know the time and date

, your car really is a treat to the eyes and ears Lee - the standard of the build is even better seeing it in the flesh.
Good news on the Redline feature Lee I am sure it will be a big success and I look forward to reading it, it is just a pity that Total Impreza did not make a feature of your car as it is one of the best classics in the UK if not the World.

there are far better classics out there that look and go better than mine
but i would like to think i have tried to improve my car to make it as good as i can get it and do the catalunya editions justice i still have a few more things left to do regards to modz but almost done for this year now as im on short time and the misses is expecting in may so just going to enjoy the car for a little while and do a few shows and maybe a track day
then put it away for winter and start to try and improve it further

The car really has to be seen to be believed to appreciate the amount of hard work that you have put into the it.

and that exhaust sounds mad
was nice to meet you steve and the other guys today and a big thanks once again to simon ( jolly green monster ) and surrey rolling road for a good day

i have some pics and a vid that i will try to get on here by the weekend and also have a few little things to get done but all in all a good result
it made good power and torque at 1.5 bar
so well pleased and no det detected at all
if it was to run more boost it would get risky as it is bored out 2.5 and to much boost will kill it

the drive home with 454.1 bhp and 462ftlb torque was fun to say the least and all that at a 1.5 bar

thanks guys, and yes mate it was fun with that power and torque in a classic lol and running safe which is also a bonus as don't think i could afford to do it again as i have another baby on the way in middle of may
think that the turbo would never hit what i was told by former keeper as i was told 496bhp/428ftlb on a 2.35ltr with lots of supporting mods, on pump fuel - made 1.6Bar at 3600rpm
i have been told it would be possible with high boost and methanol but not at 1.6 bar
but at the end of the day it has had a good result and I'm happy with what i have achieved,

gave the car a wash today as the car was full of salt
on the way home from the rollers the gritters were a pain as the salt being thrown from them and car tyres left my car with some chips on paint work and grit in my front mount and lots of grit on the air filter

so will be cleaning this asap
also some pics and vid from the day
when i got there which was a 3 hour drive

and vid of it just starting on the rollers
rollerday013.flv video by catalunya172 - Photobucket
and what it made in the end @ 1.5 bar

next job will be to get all the suspension set up a so not all done yet
