Hi

Same as the post above for the engine, a 5w-40 is ideal.

Does it have DCCD?

Cheers

Hi

You need a 75w-90 for the gearbox.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-673-75w-...ion-fluid.aspx

If you want to go for the best, the Millers CRX 75w-90 NT, Gulf Competition, Motul Gear 300, Red Line 75w-90NS and Millers TRX are ideal. The Castrol Universal/Universal Plus, Motul Motylgear and Fuchs Gear Syn are all decent alternatives.

Cheers

Hi

A 5w-40 is ideal for the engine.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS/CFS NT, Motul 300V, Red Line and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XF Longlife, Fuchs GT1 XTL/Supersyn, Gulf Formula G/ULE, Shell Helix and Mobil Super 3000 are good, cheaper alternatives.

You need a 75w-90 for the gearbox and diff.

Here is the standard Subaru filter

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-73744-su...il-filter.aspx

Or the UFI alternative is a very popular choice.

Hi oilman,
93 wrx import 63k 300bhp weekend warrior
Previously run on cfs 10/40 but been parked up for a few years. I was thinking cfs 10/50nt but i nicked some cfs 5/40 of a mate to flush it out, and it runs really smoooooth round town. I'm probably thinking 10/50nt is better considering the age and stick it normally gets though? What would you recommend? Ta

Hi

Yes, I would go for a 10w-50 in that.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-659-10w-50.aspx

The Nanodrive CFS is, on paper, the best oil available, but the Pro S and CFS are both really good oils, so all are good choices for your car.

Cheers

Hi Tim
I just pick up 2005 Blob Sti typeUK Wide track with DCCD
mods: de-catted, induction and map
Looking for recommendation for a full service:
engine oil, gear, diffs, spark plugs (pfr6b vs. 7b)
do you do the original subaru black oil filter/sump plug?
Do you deliver to Ireland (southern)?
Is there a way to see the prices on your website in euro?
Thanks

This is ideal for the gearbox

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-899-motu...ter-based.aspx

The diff needs a SAE90 LSD oil, like the Fuchs Titan Race Gear 90LS, Castrol Axle Z or Motul 90PA.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-679-sae-90-gear-oils.aspx

I'd go for the PFR6B as it's fairly standard.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-64095-ng...-ngk-3500.aspx

Sorry, but we don't do the black filters.

Here are the shipping rates.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/t-carriage.aspx

The website will only display prices in Sterling.

Cheers

General opinion is say 5 years.

The only problem would tend to be the additives comming out of solution but as the oil mixes change even in the same make and model of oil.

No one can give a hard and fast rule.

Hi

5 years or more is perfectly fine in most cases, just give the oils a shake before you use them as the additives can settle out.

Looking to order all fluids shortly. Can someone confirm how much fluid is required for clutch & power-steering replacement?

Also coolant/anti-freeze - any suggestions and is 5l sufficient?

I don't have the clutch capacity listed, but would think it's about 0.5L. Power steering is about a litre.

The best coolants are the Motul Inugel Optimal or Fuchs Pro Cool, but the Fuchs ESK, Millers Alpine, Castrol Radicool and Gulf are all fine as cheaper alternatives.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-458-coolant-antifreeze.aspx

It takes about 8L.

Hi

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-656-5w-40.aspx

Out of those, the best ones are the Fuchs/Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS/CFS NT, Motul 300V, Red Line and Gulf Competition. The Motul 8100 X-Cess, Millers XF Longlife, Fuchs GT1 XTL/Supersyn, Gulf Formula G/ULE, Shell Helix and Mobil Super 3000 are good, cheaper alternatives.

This is ideal for the gearbox.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-899-motu...ter-based.aspx

or this one

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-60230-mi...ssion-oil.aspx

The best option for the diff is a synthetic 75w-90, like the Silkolene Syn 5, Millers CRX NT LS, Motul Gear 300LS, Red Line 75w-90 GL5 or Gulf Competition LS. A SAE90 or 80w-90 mineral oil such as Motul 90PA, Fuchs Race Gear 90LS or Gulf Gear LS 80w-90 is a good, cheaper alternative.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-970-limited-slip-diff.aspx

You'll need 5L of engine oil, 4L of gear oil and 0.8L of diff oil. You don't need a separate transfer box oil for your car.

Cheers

Tim I'm still running in my 2005 STI Forged engine, been told to run it on semi synth for the first 500 miles then change to a fully synth after this point. What oil do you recommend? Mods are forged engine PPP Remap, Cone filter, Oversized IC, full exhaust system. Car will be used as a daily driver and occasionally sprinted drives.

Cheers Gaz
