No it doesn't have DCCD

it has whined since getting the oil changed by Subaru so just would rather put something decent it

93 wrx import 63k 300bhp weekend warrior
Previously run on cfs 10/40 but been parked up for a few years. I was thinking cfs 10/50nt but i nicked some cfs 5/40 of a mate to flush it out, and it runs really smoooooth round town. I'm probably thinking 10/50nt is better considering the age and stick it normally gets though? What would you recommend? Ta

I need to top my oil up today and have run out of millers CFS 10-40 fully synthetic no one sells it next to me.
will I be ok mixing/toping it up with shell helix 10 40 fully synthetic?

I bought motul gear 300 75w90 and gulf competition 5w40 from you, I'm wondering what the shelf life of them is

 

General opinion is say 5 years.

The only problem would tend to be the additives comming out of solution but as the oil mixes change even in the same make and model of oil.

No one can give a hard and fast rule.

5 years or more is perfectly fine in most cases, just give the oils a shake before you use them as the additives can settle out.

Looking to order all fluids shortly. Can someone confirm how much fluid is required for clutch & power-steering replacement?

Also coolant/anti-freeze - any suggestions and is 5l sufficient?

 

I don't have the clutch capacity listed, but would think it's about 0.5L. Power steering is about a litre.

The best coolants are the Motul Inugel Optimal or Fuchs Pro Cool, but the Fuchs ESK, Millers Alpine, Castrol Radicool and Gulf are all fine as cheaper alternatives.

The best option for the diff is a synthetic 75w-90, like the Silkolene Syn 5, Millers CRX NT LS, Motul Gear 300LS, Red Line 75w-90 GL5 or Gulf Competition LS. A SAE90 or 80w-90 mineral oil such as Motul 90PA, Fuchs Race Gear 90LS or Gulf Gear LS 80w-90 is a good, cheaper alternative.

Tim I'm still running in my 2005 STI Forged engine, been told to run it on semi synth for the first 500 miles then change to a fully synth after this point. What oil do you recommend? Mods are forged engine PPP Remap, Cone filter, Oversized IC, full exhaust system. Car will be used as a daily driver and occasionally sprinted drives.
